If the deerpark rumor is true that he hired someone who had never managed a football field, that's a major strike. A freshman art major could make a better hiring decision than that. Hart hasn't really done anything right since coming here. He stumbled into Butch after failing to get guys he wanted, and that's been his best accomplishment.
Hart has also benefitted from the SEC network payout. $20.9 million in 2014 and $31.2 million in 2015 plus bowl game payouts. Bringing up money when talking about maintaining the field is laughable, if that's the case. There is a group wanting to get rid of Hart for dropping the Lady Vol brand that was getting vocal about firing him after the Arkansas loss. The field seems to be something that could be taken care of pretty easily

Seems like Barnes has a small attitude. The two times I've heard him(once during Vol calls, one post game).
I can't really put a finger on it, but some of his responses to Kessling have made me wonder ab it. Like an "I'm better than you" approach. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe I'm use to hearing toughness and resiliency too much.

It's Wednesday and time for picks. 45-25 ATS for the season. Here goes:
This weeks Wednesday lines:
Kentucky at -3 Vanderbilt
Alabama at +8 Miss St
Arkansas at -7.5 LSU
Georgia at -1.5 Auburn
BYU at +6.5 Missouri
N. Texas at -41.5 Tennessee
Florida at +7.5 South Carolina
Western Carolina at Texas A&M (currently off will update)
My picks:
Kentucky 20 Vanderbilt 10
Alabama 31 Miss St 20
Arkansas 40 LSU 35
Georgia 23 Auburn 30
BYU 24 Missouri 13
N. Texas 0 Tennessee 63
Florida 23 South Carolina 24
Western Carolina 20 Texas A&M 59
I like Kentucky, Arkansas, and South Carolina to win straight up this week as underdogs, and Auburn to beat Georgia (they opened as an underdog but the line has moved them to a slight favorite).
Good luck!
GBOV.

Link? Pretty sure I've read on here (not that VN is infallible) that he came on in Butch's first year.
Regardless, retaining him after 3 years of poor performance is almost as bad.
Anybody else starting to get a little nervous about the 2016 recruiting class?
We're down to about ~75 days left, 30 of which are a dead period. We have some gems (Guarantano, Osborne, Johnson, Fils-Aime, Brooks if healthy), but we don't have the depth of high-quality talent that we did in the last two classes.
We're still in on some great players (Warrior, Hardman, Davis, Brown, Dickerson), but most of them seem to be trending in the wrong direction at this point. I'm not panicking by any means, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not getting a bit worried.
Some perspective here: 'worried' as in 'worried that our class might be more of the 15-20 tier than the top 10 or top 5'. We're not screwed. But barring a phenomenal finish, we do appear to be looking at a drop from the last couple of classes.
Link from an article in 2010 saying it's his first year:

For those who don't remember, Hart was hired September 2011.
