Terry Beckner Jr. officially out against UT.

Big loss for Mizzou. He was playing his best football in recent weeks. 3 sacks in the past 4 games and 18 total tackles (27 on the year).

This Mizzu game is big. A chance to really show improvement from last season. (Got one win we did not get last year in UGA, now we can get another in Mizzu). Would be big for the program to close the year sweeping the East except for UF. Sets us up as the solid second place program in the East going into 2016 with the Gators having to come to Knoxville.

Wonder if they're keeping their conditioning coach? Errybody knows whose fault it is when a star's injured. :)

Just looking at the similar teams played with Mizzou, they lost to UK 21-13, UF 21-3, and UGA 9-6. Then they beat USCe 24-10, however, keep in mind this was when Spurrier was still there.

They also lost to Vandy. IMO they are the second worst team in the SEC right now next to UK, and that's only because UK is collapsing.

That said, playing a team with an excellent defense is always concerning because a turnover or a cheap score for them can put you in a hole that makes it nearly impossible to get out of.

There are lots of reasons to think we have the better team and should win. However, I think they probably played their best game of the year on Saturday against BYU while we're coming off back-to-back lackluster performances. We're going to have our hands full in this one, I think

This game will come down to how well the O-Line plays. If the O-Line can create holes for Hurd & Kamara we should win by 10 points.

Having Jashon back may be the difference, although a marginal one but football is a game of inches and we may need to run right behind 73 to pick up a few 3rd- and 4th-and-shorts.

Kerbyson/Robertson/Thomas/Jones/Hall.

No Crowder, please. Wiesman is acceptable.

If I remember correctly, Fulmer ended his career with two straight shutouts of Vandy and Kentucky. He went out in great fashion.

Good call. I think I mostly remember the Wyoming game but that was the first game after his firing and I'm sure the whole preparation was off that week.

EDIT: Those final two scores were 20-10 and 28-10, respectively.

Lol. I didn't remember correctly. I am pretty good with history since I was in school starting in 1998. I could have sworn there was a year that we finished with 2 shutouts. Guess I dreamed it.

No we did. 2002. Back-to-back 24-0 shutouts. That was the year we brilliantly scheduled Miami for homecoming.

Yep. It's fun to watch. And our defense just keeps getting better. We are really close to having a nasty defense that can shut down anyone. Holding Bama to 19 and Henry under 150 in retrospect is very impressive. We aren't consistent enough yet, but we don't give up those big splash plays in bunches like we used to. I can only think of a few all year. Can't wait till we can shut down opposing teams' run games and embarrass their top offensive performers with regularity. I can feel that day coming.

The secondary has made the most improvement with Martin opposite Sutton and Foreman balling at the nickel. QBs are starting to just eat the ball. They are literally taking WRs apart out there in man coverage. Foreman looks very good and is playing very physical at the nickel position. Martin's athleticism is creating problems. And Sutton has QBs scared to throw passes stupid to his side. They aren't getting picks but QBs are eating the ball too.
