Already got screwed with UAB this year too! Though that is a little different.

I wonder what Pinkel really thinks about this. I mean it's a great excuse if your teams sucks..

Just went and read that. I'm not sure what Hurd would have to be that upset about. What could he possibly gain by transferring?

Bizarre. Does Hurd think he should have 1,500 yards already? He's doing great in this offense and will have a monster season next year with a much better OL.

He's the feature back on an SEC offense on the verge of really breaking out. He's one season away from being draft eligible, and he's very well regarded nationally. It really makes no sense at all.

For those wondering....

Well, there's a good chance Hurd may not be coming back after this season, so we'll see how well Alvin runs up the middle next year.

Great back and definitely fits the system better, so we'll see.

That's what I'm wondering. We know Vol74 is close to Hurd (I don't remember what the relationship is specifically). Maybe he just didn't like people's comments in the thread and wanted to ruffle feathers. Leaving after the season would make absolutely zero sense.

Sit out a year then play somewhere not in the SEC?

That just doesn't make sense. Why would he leave? He's doing great and we are only going to be better next year.

I mean, unless he doesn't get along with the staff or something this doesn't make a ton of sense.

Yep. Also, Hurd accounts for almost 30% of our offensive snaps this season.

I mean, even if you don't get along with the staff it doesn't make sense to me. Next year will do nothing but improve his draft stock. He would be costing himself a small fortune to be coached by someone he wasn't happy with for one season. I just don't see it.
