Missouri Players Go On Strike (merged)

WOW...Now young black men participating in a sport, making millions of dollars for their school, which actually funds all other sports at the institution, are now Inmates? No it is not 1969, but as u can see, racism is alive and well

I guess there are no white players on the team contributing either, huh? Sorry but racism goes both ways, not just one way.

Why is this? Are you saying because Republicans have switched with Dems and are now racist? Or is it because the Dems are now the supporters of minorities with all the programs they have put in place to secure their votes?

Political positions on major issues have changed within both parties. Now the ideologies are flipped.

Both parties have hot button issues they use to keep their base. Democrats use social wellness and education programs. Repubs use social issues. Neither party is perfect. The people that run both aren't concerned about the average voter.

Traitor sympathizers love to revise history. The states were not blocked from seceding. We, The United States, sent in troops after a United States fort was attacked and United States troops were killed.

"The resupply of Fort Sumter became the first crisis of the administration of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. He notified the Governor of South Carolina, Francis W. Pickens, that he was sending supply ships, which resulted in an ultimatum from the Confederate government: evacuate Fort Sumter immediately. Major Anderson refused to surrender. Beginning at 4:30 a.m. on April 12, the Confederates bombarded the fort from artillery batteries surrounding the harbor. Although the Union garrison returned fire, they were significantly outgunned and, after 34 hours, Major Anderson agreed to evacuate. There were no deaths on either side as a direct result of this engagement, although a gun explosion during the surrender ceremonies on April 14 caused two Union deaths."

Just for your info.

Sheesh!!!! North came south first. They're fault.

OK. If you say so.I guess they should have let a enemy nation steal United States property and kill United States troops. You are a great patriot I see. Why are you defending them so hard. You are in Blountville. You do realize East TN was anti Confederacy right?

The face of domestic terrorism in the US is and has always been white men. Most of them have been supporters of the traitor's flag.

...Check the data on black against white crime in this country and look in the mirror while you're at it. By the way, if you don't like white people because they are white then you are the racist. If you don't like it you can leave

Looking forward to the YouTube video of you ripping a confederate flag decal off of a pickup truck in Sullivan County.....

I'll hang up and listen.

Lincoln told them they could have it and then welched.

Patriotism is not loyalty to your national government, it's loyalty to your community

I grew up in East Tn, but my parents came from N.C. and Virginia, and my distant relatives fought for the Confederacy. Could my upbringing not explain my sympathies for the South? Maybe he also identifies with the South.

By the way, East Tn wasn't totally "anti-Confederacy" back then. Maybe the majority identified with the Union, but there were significant Southern sympathies. It was a divided area for sure.

Looks like Doyle Hargraves picked an extremely liberal source that is so factually incorrect I could go on and on. Just one point to prove how historically incorrect his liberal source is. What party supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Hint, it was NOT the Democratic Party.

This PC nonsense has to stop! People are always going to hate. Hate has no market on any race.

You are correct. The coalition to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act was lead by Howard Baker's father-in-law, Republican Senator Everett Dirksen of Illinois. If not for the republican's in that senate it would never passed. LBJ could not get enough democrats to pass the bill.

But our low education voters have been mislead by the biased media in this country.

All I see in the photo are black players, if no white players are striking doesn't that mean they are behind the racist?

This forum, apparently full of people who miss the jim crow laws, is absolutely unbearable. I hope your kids don't take heed from you.

This is but one example amongst many of why it's impossible to have a civil discussion about race.

Is it get out of the way of the movement or get labeled as a racist.

<--- since my avi is a black man can I be exempted

In addition to this, South Carolina seceded from the U.S. in Dec.1860. U.S. forces moved into Fort Sumter after abandoning Fort Moultrie because it was vulnerable to a ground attack.

Fort Sumter was the only remaining place near Charleston that was controlled by Federal troops. Fort Sumter was asked by South Carolina to surrender many times and had refused. It was attacked in April 1861, 4 months after the occupation began.
