South Carolina has a much better fanbase, probably better resources, better atmosphere, and they're in the SEC. the only advantage Miami has is recruiting and that doesn't make it a more attractive job

South Carolina has better fanbase, facilities, resources and conference. However, it's much harder to win at South Carolina and recruit to South Carolina when your going against the rest of conference. Put USCe in ACC like Bruin said and it instantly because ls more attractive. To win at USCe you have to hope a homegrown Clowney and Lattimore 2.0 come along every 2-3 years.

At Miami, a coach can go in recruit like a mad man and win games as soon as next year with Brad Kayaa at QB vs a weak conference. Regardless of fanbase and resources, South Fla kids want to go to Miami. Look at what Golden was recruiting for this year through the next 2 classes despite all the junk and being bad. You bring in. A guy with an explosive offense with that talent base for recruiting and look out. I can't even imagine what a Justin Fuentes, Tom Herman, Lane Kiffin, etc would do with an offense with that much speed.

All of Bama's receivers are 6' or taller except for one. On the last drive Ridley, who's listed at 6'-1" out jumped our corner and I can't remember which receiver out jumped our other corner too for the other big catch.

Stewart made a catch because Martin was falling down. If he doesn't lose his feet it's batted away. Just missed it. Ridley just straight up made a play on Sutton

I don't know what it is but our corners fall down at the wrong time alot

As bad as the turnout is for Miami games often is (the stadium which is a good 45 minutes at least from campus mind you), saying the atmosphere is better in Columbia, SC than Coral Gables/Miami is comical. They also don't have better resources.

All they have is that they are in the SEC and they have a nice fanbase. Miami's fanbase is solid when the team isn't taking dumps on the field every week. It's just a very fickle and spoiled fanbase. They aren't going to show out for a bad product. I get that people will call that a bad fanbase, and maybe it is, but Miami ain't Columbia, SC. People have other options in how to spend their Saturday.

You also have the fact that you can roll out of bed and have a laundry list of stud recruits and legacy players already ready to sign with you as long as you don't get in the way.

Which job is better? Depends on the candidate. Miami is a much tougher job, but the ceiling is far higher than at USCjr.

Miami has very, very poor fan support. I've seen them during their heyday at the Orange Bowl and there would still be 20,000 empty seats...they were a NC contender!! If they weren't playing Florida State or Notre Dame, the fans simply didn't come out...and that was when they were in the top 5 year-in and year-out. Now that they play at the Dolphin's stadium, it's even worse. Compare the atmosphere at UT's last home game vs. Georgia to Miami's game last week against Clemson...Clemson is a top-5 team and the turn-out was beyond embarrassing. It obviously worked for them in the 90s, but college football has moved forward at the speed of light in recent years with state of the art facilities, the SEC network, blah, blah, blah...however, Miami hasn't done anything.

I know we're talking football, but indicative of the lack of support for Miami athletics is the fact they gave up basketball for 14 years in the 70s and 80s.

I agree with most of that. Miami is set up to win right away. It's just a tougher job that SCjr in the sense there are higher expectations and more pressure. You can win 7-8 games a year at SCjr and you're fine. That'll get you fired at Miami and lead to empty home game crowds like Golden saw.

As for those coaching names, Kiffin would be on probation so fast in Miami he wouldn't even had time to unpack. I pray to god he doesn't get another high profile coaching gig. He simply hasn't deserved it.

The shadow man, I even spotted him at our game versus Oklahoma.

Of course, Miami can not even remotely hold a candle to our fanbase at UT. We have one of the best in the country, bar none. Not even close.

Miami fans gave up on Golden last year. They just couldn't afford to fire him and hire a new coach. He forced their hand last week and now they have to make a move. Everyone in their right mind knew Miami was not going to even compete in that Clemson game, and it was even worse than they expected. I don't blame anyone for not showing up to that. It was a foregone conclusion.

And I know that the Miami athletic department is struggling financially and is still in a battle with the academic side. No one is saying they have great fans. Miami fans are notoriously fairweather. But the last couple of years is a recent low point for fan turnout given the product on the field.

Richmond hasn't played...so that seems the plan. Sapp,Lovingood,Vincent Perry and Darrell Taylor are the only other ones I can think of unless Boulware hasn't logged any snaps.

Richmond, Sheriron, Butcher, Boulware, and maybe Picou.

Has Picou played? I thought he might have since Tuttle was taken out by a dirty UGA player.

He was on the depth chart against Bama...don't know if he got in. He was a definite redshirt before Tuttle's injury.
