I almost think it's better for us to get such a grind of a schedule compacted into just 4 weeks.

Butch just needs to get the team's mindset right heading into that stretch. That's basically a playoff schedule. The team should be good enough take care of business in every other game without too much worry. Just go 3-1 through that stretch (ideally 4-0) and the team is essentially a lock to win the East. Could probably be done going 2-2.

I think that next year will be just like the 90s. If we can beat UF during the first week of the meat grinder, the East is ours. UGA will struggle with yet another new QB. Who knows how rehabbed Chubb will be by then. No one else in the East is noteworthy.

We can still technically win the East even with a loss to UF provided we take care of business everywhere else. Bama doesn't scare me in 2016 at all. I think we finally win that damn game. Their neverending onslaught of huge RBs from Ingram to Lacy to Richardson to Yeldon to Henry seems to finally be over after this year. Hurd will take up that mantle next year, but he will be playing for the good guys. Plus, Kiffin is almost certainly gone in 2016.

If we stay heathy and catch some breaks, we could be a 1 loss team after Bama and be very much in play for a playoff birth.

I think 10-2 is the most likely outcome for next year. We have the talent for a better record, but that isn't taking into account breaks going against us, stupid mistakes, or injuries-- much like happened this year.

I see 10-2. Start 5-0. Lose to tamu and Bama. Win out. 10-2. In Atlanta after Florida finishes 10-2 as well with only losses to us and LSU.

And the east has come full circle back to normalcy

Edit: and then we beat Bama in re-match

Lol at the 8 pages of nonsense in the FF about why Butch goes by "Butch" instead of "jones"

Ha, I made the mistake of clicking on that thread labeled 'Why Butch' thinking it would be discussing why he is or isn't the right coach for UT. I won't make that mistake again.

Sheesh I don't understand the complaining about the schedule. Every year we have a brutal stretch like that & other SEC teams do too.

Yall are acting like we won't have a good team next year. Nobody will want to see 'Tennessee' on their schedule. We'll have the talent & depth to be a legitimate 10-2, 11-1 team.

We could very well be 3-0 heading into UF. When was the last time that happened?

We haven't started 3-0 since 2004. Haven't started 4-0 since 2003.

We used to play Florida earlier in the season so I don't know that we've ever been 3-0 headed into the Florida game.

I'm sick of losing to them and starting our season behind in the east and losing to the first quality team we play.

Wow, I just saw that Iowa is #10. Is there any doubt that we would blast them again if we played?

This is what I alluded to in my last comment about coaching and QB play.

Having said that, they don't do a very good job of getting open themselves either.
I'm sorry but our coaching is a joke at that position. Look at other teams wrs how they stand, how they get off press coverage, the routes they run, the route combinations to shake coverage then look at our wr play. If azzani isn't canned as soon as the season is over I'll lose a lot of faith in this staff. He is by far the worst coach on this staff. Jmo.

Not too bad. We get 2 weeks to celebrate the Bama victory, just like this year with the Georgia win! 😀

Juaun James limping off.

Seemed to be okay though. Did he come back in? If he's not the most prototypical looking OL there is then I don't know what is. He has transformed his body even better since being in the league

Edit: they drove him into the locker room :/

Still shaking my head at the schedule. We play only 4 very good teams next year, and they're all back to back to back to back with no bye. What in the world. Lol
