Then........he tried his best to keep that Crowder punch gate thing going a few weeks ago......

...and now he's telling everyone that QD is tranferring...................

If true, perhaps Dormady wants to transfer someplace that will throw the ball 50-60 times per game and he realizes that will never be the case under CBJ.

Yet he considered Alabama, who wants to run the ball.

How does Alabama get all of their QB's and keep them happy when they don't throw 50-60 times per game?

Championships and relevancy? Crap like that?

I think the UGA win and taking Bama to the wire answered everything you need to know about this staff, not that they beat a decent team and almost another, but that they did so in an enviroment that had this team given up for lost. The last two games speak volumes to the leadership of CBJ and the staff and their ability to motivate the team. Yeah, no moral victories, but the combination of W/L records and margin of loss plus the clear leadership points to a bright future for those willing to see it.

Because Bama has never had anything but a game managing QB. They get elite QBs yes, but they do it with guys who come from systems where they don't need to throw like that.

Very true. After the Arkansas game it seemed that it was possible that Butch was in danger of losing the guys. They answered the bell loud and clear. Down 24-3 to GA was the defining moment for us when the corner was turned.

And this is the point all the "worry warts" are missing.

I was having a nice day until I stumbled across what AJ McCarron had to say after Saturday. Still hasn't let that "red team" thing go.

My hate for the red team grows. I cannot wait for revenge.

You mean Bama was pissed off my the red team talk?

No way that should have mattered to them

He still hasn't let it go. First, it was in 2013, and second, he clearly paid no idea to what Butch Jones actually said.

Just a little humor

Before the game in 2013 I posted that cbj shouldn't have said it and that it would give Bama some motivation. This board laughed at me. Just rubbing it in that they still habor ill feeling about it when no one here even thought they would notice at the time

If they need an opposing coach to call them the red team to get motivated, they'd never have reached SEC level in the first place. Truly one of the dumbest "bulletin board" media hypes I've ever seen, and there have been some bad ones.

Oh, I see.

The problem I had was that it was so obviously misinterpreted. It wasn't intended as a sign of disrespect (the way Vandy says "the team to the East" or Mississippi State says "the school up north"), it was intended to keep our team from pissing their pants and beating themselves just because they were playing ALABAMA.

Jones shouldn't have said it, but not because it was disrespectful. He shouldn't have said it because interpreting it correctly would have required a modicum of reading comprehension and just a moment of intelligent thought, both of which are far too much to expect from Alabamans.
