My post was satirical. A parody of rumor mongers dissatisfaction with anything other than absolute proof of the rumor and punishment for all involved.

I shoulda used blue font.

There are people who know other people and these other people have seen/heard things that no one else knows about. Except for the people who were told those secret things by the other people they know. If the University remains silent about these new allegations, that is a sure sign there is substance to the secret rumors. If the University makes more statements, that is an even worse sign that something definitely happened. At this point all we can say is that there is, in fact, a cover up of something secretive and that the future actions will determine to what extent the cover up exists and how bad the fallout will be. My only hope is that the guilty will be punished before further damage is done.

I heard he tweeted a Kumbaya message of unity, but until he directly refutes the allegations being directed at Butch I'm afraid this is going to fester. He can put this all to rest with one public statement, so I'm wondering why that hasn't been done already. It's Thursday already, we have Georgia Saturday, and this is still the biggest story surrounding UT football! Come on people!!!

It shouldn't fester. He's made clear he's not taking action regarding any incident. If he's moved on, everyone else needs to as well.

I heard John Wilkerson reading a tweet by Mac saying he wished Vols would come together and that he loved Tennessee and the coaches... Something like that. Very positive

Maybe he doesn't know which rumor to refute?

Maybe something happened that neither of them are proud of but it's in the past.

If it ain't an issue to him then it isn't to me.

The thing is, in all of this, that's what bothered me more than anything.It took the AD what almost a week to comment on the rumors. Almost looked like a lack of support for CBJ like with the Cuonzo petition.
