The engineering program as a whole is pretty good...
Of course I'm an alum so I'm a bit biased
We don't hold a candle to Notre Dame academically but OSU is not that much better than us....
I think its funny that he mentioned academics...since when do top recruits major in anything harder than basket weaving![]()
UT has some good business and engineering programs...and it is VERY difficult to compare strengths really. But, here are some numbers as food for thought....
Overall College Rankings:
Notre Dame: 19
tOSU: 57
UT: 96
Civil Engineering (Graduate, I think):
ND: 46
tOSU: 36
UT: 55
MBA:
ND: 39
tOSU: 22
UT: Not in top 50 (does have a top 10 Supply Chain/Logistics MBA, though)
These last two aren't necessarily undergraduate rankings...but it gives some points of comparison. Like I said though, the numbers really don't mean much. But it does provide evidence as to why a kid like Wells would make the comment he made.
