He has Georgia, Arkansas, kinda Bama. Pencil Bama an L, but the other 2 are the only games we should even be in consideration for losses. We should win Arkansas, Georgia mehh.

I am in favor at this point of routing JJ all over the middle of the field and telling Dobbs to find him. At least he will fight for the ball and do something with it after the catch.

And it was only 2 slants for the entire game. First quarter to Johnson for 10+. Second one was to Pig for 8 yards in the first OT. Wow. How stupid does it have to get before the AD or Big Jim or somebody over that walks up to Butch and tells him just how it has to be?

If I remember the play correctly, Dobbs ran to his right, pumped once, and then threw to Ellis. I'm not sure he was the primary target or if it was an improvisation.

The offensive gameplans continue to be maddening with this coaching staff. I thought the departure of Bajakian would change that, but it appears to not be the case. A more sound and even logical offensive gameplan with adjustments based on the feel of the game would have given this program at least 3 more wins over Butch Jones tenure thus far. It's as simple as that. Really critical coaching breakdowns from this offensive staff, and they continue to happen 2+ years in. We have an offensive coaching staff that plays scared, and is afraid to take even the slightest risk.

im just tired of the excuses man. Hes stubborn as hell. I like the guy but man i cant even listen to any of his pressers. I already know what hes gonna say. I mean damn make a few changes, be more aggressive. Its like all we get is his letdowns, suspensions and injury news. Nothing good happens.

Heard that. Very discouraging to hear. Shows he doesn't think there was anything wrong with trying to sit on a 17-0 lead.

I realize it may not be all his fault, but he's a starter. Dobbs is or at least was his roommate. Dobbs can look for him anytime he pleases. You don't think they communicate if North was open on one route or another? If not, they are inept.

I know last year North had injury problems, but he wasn't good a lot of the times he was in there. Several times he was targeted ended in interceptions. Whether that's his fault or not, that was the result.

To contradict myself a little, North looked good on his one catch. I do wish he was getting more opportunities. I wish all our WRs were, but that's the rub. If they were as good as many fans make them out to be, why aren't they producing? Even if you want to blame the coaches, it's still Dobbs out there with the ball in his hands. He can't decide where to throw it? If they were that good at throwing in practice, would the coaches just ignore that? Or might there be other factors involved?

Who are we beating? Western Carolina, sure. UF? That's a toss-up. They will probably be favored if they escape Lexington with a W.

Criticizing Jumper after game 1 was plenty fair but he was the QB of a defense that played exceptionally well in game 2.

Cbj has stated that his communication on defense is extremely valuable and he clearly got our defense into the right spot on Saturday.

Do MLBs excel in pass coverage???? Hell no none of them do especially ones we have had lately. They shouldn't be judged on getting beat a few times in coverage.

Would 34 make more plays?? I think there is zero doubt he would make more plays

Would 34 make more mistakes getting us out of position on D?? I think there is a significant chance that he would get confused which could likely lead to a big play.

Point is we didn't lack for a playmaker on defense on Saturday. Jumper not making plays didn't hurt us in the least. He commanded the D by getting them into great spots and it's entirely possible the staff was pleased by his play.

i agree that we have been crazy but is it really an overreaction when its the same types of things for 2+ yrs? i dont think so.

So for discussion sake, based on what you posted:

Say we only lose to bama and end up 10-2, or bama and UGA and end up 9-3...

Would that be satisfactory enough for you?

I don't disagree with you, Bruin. But, put him out there this week. Let him make some mistakes. I don't care if it means we only win by 17 instead of 31 because we gave up some big plays. He needs in-game experience.

I don't know man. I really think we went out of our identity in the second half. Too many plays that took a looooooong time to develop were called instead of just punching Oklahoma in the mouth over and over.
