Obrien is a loss for this team, but I'm excited to see Shy Tuttle and Khalil beast against these O-linemen. I noticed against Bowling Green that the Defensive ends were able to get to the edge, but all the QB had to do was step up in the pocket due to the lack of pass rush from the defensive tackles.

With Tuttle and KMac in there, that will create more opportunities for Barnett and Maggit to get sacks.

I'm pretty sure DOB is #1 on the depth chart, so yeah, he's starting all year. Not to mention in game 2, he is definitely starting and important against a team that runs a hurry up offense where you need fresh bodies.
We will see... I think the other guys are def more talented, but i do hope he makes it back

Yup

no not a bit, my play improved

Improve number of catches sure but no shot their blocking stays the same much less gets better and that was my point.

10 plays in a row with the running/blocking our WRs do is like running 10 60yd sprints in a 3min timeframe. Very very taxing on even the most elite athletes

Kmac sat on the sideline for 3+ qtrs and a delay, it was hot as heck most of that time too. Probably didn't have the adrenaline juices flowing for mop up duty. I thought he wasn't getting many practice reps because of a minor arm/shoulder injury. I'd be willing to bet that in a comfortable night game in Neyland with the adrenaline pumping against a worthy opponent, he will hold up a lot better. Hoping so. I'm ready to see him go beast mode.

Lulz I saw this over on vq

I think Butch told them to take it easy on BG to try and lure OU into running the ball at him. That's why he reported DOB suspended, so that OU starts game planning to run it up the gut. Then we put in McKenzie, Kirkland and TKjr and roll. Pretty clever if you ask me.

He probably actually believes this

Y'all are crazy if you think Kahlil is in such bad shape that he can't play more than 2 plays.

He may have sat out a couple days and gotten behind, but it's not like he was sitting on the couch eating Doritos for a week straight in that time.

He is an elite talent that is well beyond his years. I know he's a freshman, but I don't think Butch has any intentions of letting him ride the bench all season.

He gets thrown into the fire early and often this week in my opinion. He needs to make a big play or two to gain some confidence. Once that happens he may take that spot over for good. This is the perfect time to unleash him.

The way some of you act makes it sound like Kmac has been bed ridden for months and is just back to walking last week.

He is a DT not a long distance runner.

I agree. He has inside NFL access. He's certainly capable of more than an arbitrary two plays.

I think JJ will surprise in this game as well. He is an athlete of athletes.

I think JJ will struggle with the more athletic and stronger DB's of OU. Look for them to jam him within 5 yards and make him work.

Pig, North, and Pearson have got this down. They about to ball out.

Fair enough. I can see how his newness to the WR position can cause him to be faulty in this game. I base my thought on him having a good game from hearing about him being a physical specimen in practice. Hopefully that translates onto the field during the game.
