"Wow I can't believe the negativity. I got to see only the 4th quarter but for a team of 5th/6th year seniors playing against a bunch of freshmen/sophomores, this looked pretty damn good to me.

Last year sucked. But it's over and gone. We played in this game the way I expected us to play in the first game last year. We looked green and we made a few mistakes but we held a high scoring team to a pair of TDs and an offense expected to have nothing held its own. In fact, eliminate 3 mistakes and we win by a pair of TDs.

Year in, year out I"m not happy to play well and lose----but the improvement over last year has me expecting us to be in every game this year. Final record may suck but the individual games won't embarrass anyone--and will scare a few opponents."

Saw another guy say the loss doesn't matter because they can still win the East. Another said the loss is due to youth and lack of talent.

It's WKU, Vandy. You are more talented than them. They recruit at the bottom of FBS every year and you've had top 30 classes.

Western Kentucky was not mentally in this game whatsoever. Several dropped passes and boneheaded plays at key moments. The scary thing for Vandy fans shouldn't be that they "held" WKU to only 2 tds, it should be that they only scored 12 points on one of the worst defenses they'll play all year.
