Would love to see that. WKU's defense is hot garbage, so if Vandy scores less than 21 they are doomed to a 1-11 season.
With Scheu (sp?) out for the first part of the year if not longer and their QB not exactly being set until now, I wouldn't look for any major offensive production from Vandy. All WKU has to do is stop the run and they are golden.
A chip shot from UMass away from 2-10. A chip shot.
so funny seeing vandy fans on their 247 board talking about how their size and strength will be too much for WKU lol. What the hell are they talking about? The same Vandy OL that has finished last in the league in rushing the last 2 yrs? Sure they have some size on their D but Azubike is way undersized to be a 3-4 DE at 260lbs ish. He is a 4-3 DE. Big difference. Jay Woods is 280lbs playing the 3-4 Nose some lol. I dont see it. They think bc WKU is CUSA that they dont have any players i guess. WKU has 3 guys on their OL btw 300-310lbs and a 295lb center. They have a 250lb TE and a 235lb RB. I think they'll be able to hold their ground just fine lol. On Defense, WKU has about 5 guys between 285lb-310lb on the interior D Line. A 250lb Linebacker and the other two LBs are 230lbs. There is zero size/strength advantage for VU. None.
VU fans are ridiculous.
Not to mention UMass blew the game period. They outplayed Vandy all day until the 4th quarter. They were up 31-20 starting the 4th and went into "play not to lose" mode. The offense went 3 and out for every series in the 4th quarter except the last drive when they finally opened the playbook back up, plus one of Vandy's TDs was a blocked punt.
I also don't remember the last drive exactly, but I'm pretty sure they had a gimmie touchdown and a receiver dropped the ball.
Who of significance has Vandy beaten under Mason? You did watch them play last year didn't you? They got blown out at home against Temple.

I agree but they are used to playing SEC level competition which is more than WKU can say which is my only real edge for either team. WKU was also going to beat a lot Power 5 teams but they just haven't done it, yet.
i really think its a stretch to say WKU is not as good as Vandy esp right now. Vanderbilt was a disaster last season, in the spring and i doubt its just been cleaned up over the course of summer. Its pretty clear to see how the Mason era is going to play out. And if they miraculously beat WKU they will get pounded the next week by UGA and 2 weeks later by Ole Miss. Then the debacle really starts during the second half.
