Stalking him? Good grief.....the cops were called and they have to investigate....if the guy hadn't been such a moron.....a less than five minute conversation would have cleared up the situation...... Any time a cop is called to a domestic disturbance he has to be cautious....he didn't pull on the guy but was ready in case it escalated.

The guy had one hand in his pocket and the other hand holding the camera.

Do you really think the guy is going to:
1. Video himself shooting a cop
2. Be coordinated enough to hold the camera and the gun in the proper angles to both record the entire event and make a successful hit on the cop?

It was already stated before that it was a stinking parking incident called in by a neighbor...
Not exactly the same as 2 two people with guns and weapons fighting each other.

He took a simple parking call into a situation where he's having to draw his gun.

So now, we have rolling stops, selling loose cigarettes, busted taillights, possession of reefer and parking a little too far (allegedly) in a cul de sac as being grounds for use of deadly force?

I haven't seen deadly force used for any of those reasons....I have seen idiot citizens turn a minor offense into a major one. I have seen before where 3-4 people have been killed bc someone burnt the toast. A cop doesn't know what he is rolling into until he has time to assess the situation. I don't see what the big deal is here....

I tell you this, I can defend a guy being a douche on his own property minding his business and (obviously) not breaking the law than I can some jackazz cop rolling up and pulling out his gun on what anyone with common sense could have seen was a normal surburban cul de sac with a boat in the driveway.

That is true....I wouldn't even acknowledged this story if you hadn't posted bc what happened from the guy appearing to be a douche on camera to the cop unholstering his weapon was no big deal to me. We do know that the police had been called out several times before so their is some history there.

Yep....my daughter has absence seizures but is starting to outgrow them. It had been really hard on her coordination and doing school work. I told her if she made A and B honor roll I would take her to an R5 concert as long as they came within 6 hours of us. She reached her goal and even made straight A's one semester. So last Thursday I took her to Nashville to see her favorite group. I have never seen so many young pre-pubescent girls screaming in all my life.

How about it appears that the guy was acting like a douche? I'm guessing that most policemen would unholster their weapon if someone has s hand in their pocket and refuses to remove it..... Otherwise I'd say their careless and ignorant. He didn't raise it but he had it out. Was the cop a douche? ..... Yeah maybe, but so was the other guy. the cop shot the guy? I missed that in the video. of course with the way you talk even having a conversation with an officer is grounds for assault against the officer.

Out of all these cop videos recently, they all have something in common. All the "victims" are being uncooperative and foolish. Is that worthy of death? No, of course not. However, if they had a shred of common sense, they would cooperate with the cop. Chances are, if you show respect and cooperate, you may even get off the hook (for a ticket or something minor). If you cooperate and show respect, chances are you won't get shot or beat up.

LEOs are human. There are going to be some rotten apples, but the majority are normal, decent people. They can have bad days or a short temper, so it's best to just be respectful and you most likely won't have an unpleasant experience. All these people were uncooperative or resisted arrest. They didn't deserve death, but they could've avoided all of it with common sense.

We should hold our LEOs to the highest standards, but citizens should stop being idiots.

Haven't seen this video yet, but if a cop pulled up in my driveway, I would ask what the matter was and if he asked me to pull my hands out of my pockets, I would. Sure, some cops are overbearing and in the wrong, but when someone if confronted by a situation like these, then if you comply, you should be fine. When people start yelling and resisting is when things get escalated. I'm not saying these cops are in the right, but people need to use common sense.

Yeah, I'm not saying the cops are always in the right. I'm saying, citizens should use better judgment. If you are confrontational to anyone, not just cops, chances are they will be confrontational back.

Again, I'm not talking about who's in the right/who's in the wrong. I'm saying people need to be smarter and just relax.
