honestly that triple option look with any combo of those RBs is gonna be nasty just bc teams fear the hell out of dobbs running so much. cant wait to see that.

I told you guys Alvin is a damn beast.

I've heard some things that DeBord is planning on some two back sets with Hurd and AK in there at the same time. Mercy at the possibilities

Gary is the mythical figure from which Volunteer08 summoned. After much debating whether it was a good idea or not to call the DA in the forums, he decided to call and Gary answered the phone. Within 30 minutes, Von had been cleared.

Comparing any of the run options to previous years practices...seems much smoother...with a little pop. Understand it comparing Dobbs to Worley/Peterman...but also to himself last year. Both Dormady and Sheriron are quick out of that set. I still believe that was what Butch saw in Ohio State and wanted it here this season.

The speed at CB is unreal.

If Malone breaks out, like we think he will, North, Pig, Smith, Pearson, Malone, and Croom is a STOUT group.

i agree. As much as i loved Marlin Lane the speed difference is on another level with Ralph, John K, and Joe Young. Those guys look smooth so far. Even noticed where Hubbs and RTI wrote about that.

For the record, a "triple option" has been in the offense all along but it wasn't like we were going to see it with Worley back there. They brought it with Dobbs in against Alabama and immediately started gashing them for huge chunks of yardage. We also used it generously against Kentucky and Iowa with great success - it was the play with Dobbs at QB, Hurd at RB, and Pig or Pearson coming across on the jet sweep. No one could defend it, especially when Dobbs took off.
