Calling VN investigators:

I'm on a place from Atlanta to Chicago, and 3 massive dudes just got on the plane. Pretty obvious they are some sort of professional football players.

One was wearing a UT shirt.

Anybody know why 3 NFL players would be flying commercial, one a VFL, from ATL to ORD?

Former players who were sent to free Von IMO

Well, Gary's been coasting the last few hours, get his a** on it...

The next couple years, I think if they can keep some guys healthy and win a close game or two it wouldn’t surprise me to see them at nine wins.”

Lol in a couple years we MIGHT get 9 wins?

I'm almost positive that was Spurrier who said that.

“They’ve upgraded their talent level overall, but I just don’t know if they have a bunch of difference-makers on defense.”

Lol... Who was this guy

Whoever it was....after we play them, he's gonna look back at this quote and be like:

.

If the handling of Pearson versus AJ/Williams does not convince you that UT administration is badly messed up, you are obviously a rival fan wanting them to stay just the way they are. Take out gun, shoot self in both feet, pretend everything is wonderful.

As in Pearson v UT lawsuit?

Look I believe he will be reinstated.

But if for some stupid reason he isn't, he has a suit against the university.

He is being punished after his name has been cleared. This punishment is costing him in draft status.

Hopefully, this gets fixed Friday as Eric has said.

Per AP:

''It is our hope that the university, based on this new development, will do the right thing and lift the suspension of Von Pearson immediately,'' Coffey said Wednesday in a statement released via email.

Tennessee athletic department spokesman Ryan Robinson said Wednesday that Pearson's status hasn't changed.

''We are aware of the outcome of the District Attorney's office and we should garner more information over the next couple of days,'' Robinson said.

Von's lawyer is playing this perfectly. Going public is putting heat on the university.

Yep. I'm surprised he didn't put it out there a month ago. Wonder if he was led to believe that Von would be reinstated by the start of camp and held off until he saw that it wasn't going to play out like he thought.

haha no defensive playmakers?? Just the best bookend pass rushing DEs in the league. And about another 3-4 guys who can get after the passer. ok.

First of all, we cleaned up to simplify the front page story. Now, all of this is hard to explain and is a bit confusion in terms of his potential reinstatement.

We are hearing that a reinstatement could possibly come in the next 24-48 hours.

Now for the confusion stuff...

By University policy if a student is found not guilty in a University case then a suspension could be lifted and it's over. No student conduct.

However, just because the state of Tennessee decided there was not enough to prosecute, the University has a separate investigation into violations of student conduct so they make their own ruling separate of what the court of law or the DA's office decides.

Obviously, there are lots of questions about Michael Williams being a student facing an indictment and Pearson suspended without being charged. All the University will say is that each case is different. Obviously, the University felt like that had justification for coming back and suspending Pearson for the summer. I have no idea what that justification was and the University under federal law can't say.

From a public standpoint, the University is backed into a box here with one former player charged with a crime being allowed to remain a student while another who was never charged was suspended during the investigation.

It will be interesting to see what transpires tomorrow. Pearson will not be on the practice field tonight for sure.

I'm not sure the University can find a way to justify Michael Williams continuing his education and not letting Von continue his.
