A player's nickname, in the past, has usually come from the team. Example: Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds. However some have come from fans. In fact, Josh Dobbs seemed to enjoy the suggestions. With the use of social media and web sites like this one, it has a greater chance of getting out there. So, I am NOT so sure it will have nothing to do with what we think.
