Anybody have any insight as to why we're playing our first game in Nashville? I could see expanding the brand if we were playing a presentable (Power 5) team, but against UAB/BGSU, it just seems a little out of place. What was the reasoning?

I think Deerpark said the payout was pretty good. It also gives us a little midstate exposure. And essentially it's like another home game. So money, marketing, and a win in the win column.

They want to play 1 neutral site game each year. The main areas they are targeting are recruiting zones. Plus it's an NFL stadium. Nashville is booming in D1 prospects now and this is an easy way to bring a game to them.

Exactly. Its no coincidence that we already have a game scheduled in Nashville and Atlanta and are in the process of playing one in Charlotte.

Its also a way to prove a point about the entertainment tax issue they have with the City of Knoxville.

Looking for some good seats in Nashville for the season opener and I've never been to the stadium. Any advice for good seats is much appreciated. I'm assuming the Tenn sideline will be the Titan's side.

Actually, from what I've seen I *think* UT is using the Visitor's sideline.

@sports180: We'll get a Tennessee football recruiting update from @Volquest_Paul today at 12:30 ET. Great info coming from Paul!

That all makes sense. I guess my biggest hang up is that it's against an obviously inferior opponent.. But it's a smart move to make sure we DON'T lose the game.

Just found out that we got seats in 230 row P for the game in Nissan "Stafium" (sorry somebody typo'd it earlier and it made me chuckle inside). Now the agony of waiting 40 more whole days until it's "FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE"!!!!!!

My Aunt has four season ticket seats in the south end zone that she is trying to sell if anyone is interested. I'm sure she would like to sell all the games together but she may split them up.
