Alabama????? Wth?!? They have like 9 rb ok their roster.

Surprisingly no. They dismissed like 2-3 guys this spring. Plus lost another to an ACL. All they have right now is Derrick Henry, Kenyon Drake, and 2 freshmen. Not too disimilar from us. Expect one of the true freshmen is a 5 star recruit that was the #1 or #2 ranked RB according to almost every recruiting service.

I forgot the name of the rb that tore his acl. I seen on bama's page that he should be back in the beginning of their season. (They said before the uga game)

From what im hearing the interest is high on both sides. One thing thats aiding us is the fact we only took 2 in 2015 and so far none in this class.

IMO, if he enrolls at UT, we might not take a rb for 2016. With 3 freshman, one will redshirt being a defacto 2016 recruit and we will take 2-3 in the 2017 class.

I would think we would still take one in 2016. Especially if Kamara has an insane year and bolts pro but I could be wrong. Also I'm fine with this scenario. Give me the Memphis kid and another in 2017.

Watched some film on him and the guy looks really good. I have a hypothetical. Say he comes to UT this year, does anyone think that would hurt us with recruiting a top RB for 2016?

Bird in the hand...worth more than voting for George Bush? :)

I don't. Simply because I doubt he would get a large number of carries.

The guy has never played a down of D-1 football. He's not going pro as a RS So.

Well I honestly didn't think Patterson would until he showed up and played as well as he did and what did he do? Went pro. It's not impossible. If Kamara rushes for 1000 yards or something because injuries occur (can happen especially in our conference) then I would say he would give it legit consideration.

I highly doubt Kamara will rush for 1,000 yards unless Hurd is injured. I still believe Hurd is going to be the main back and Kamara is going to compliment him.

I won't be shocked if Hurd goes pro next year and we see Kamara in 2017.

That's what I was getting at. Hurd has had some injuries in his career. Say he gets hurt. Kamara takes over and has a 1300 all purpose yards. Why would he come back and compete with Hurd and not try and make the jump. All I'm saying is that it isn't impossible especially in a sport as physical as football and we shouldn't spare depth at RB in the SEC.

This should all happen pretty quick correct? Within the week I'm sure. Would be huge if we could lure him in

Well, that begs the question: how many top RB's are there in the 2016 class? Walker would take a miracle flip, and Holyfield and Fils-Aime aren't looking likely at the moment. After those three, there is a sizable drop-off in backs considering us.

Stevenson had a similar overall rating to Holyfield, and unlike any 2016'ers, he would be getting experience in Fall Camp and the 2015 season.

Would be huge if we could snag this kid. RB depth and recruiting would become much less of a concern. He has a different running style from our current RBs too.

Hopefully we're not setting ourselves up for disappointment.

The depth would be nice. could also give some flexibility to let you play RDA in the slot some. That was something he asked to do his last year at Cincy. He just got hurt early on in the year. Getting this kid would be a big deal.

Blue font? We are constantly setting ourselves up for disappointment.
