I agree. Heck, I've eaten so many mater sandwiches lately, and love it.
I just ate pizza, now I'm tempted to go make a mater sandwich.
I don't know if you or anyone else in this thread watches it but on the Paul Finebaum show maybe two months ago someone brought up eating tomato sandwiches(talking about southern food). They went into detail about what goes on it which is nothing but bread, mayo, and a slice of tomato. From that point on for the rest of the show was like a culinary episode of the PF show. I've never had one myself only because I'm not a huge raw tomato fan. You made me think of it and laugh when you mentioned it.
Personally, unless it's a grilled cheese or pb&j then it's not a sandwich without meat on it.
