What did you have for dinner?

I agree. Heck, I've eaten so many mater sandwiches lately, and love it.

I just ate pizza, now I'm tempted to go make a mater sandwich.

I don't know if you or anyone else in this thread watches it but on the Paul Finebaum show maybe two months ago someone brought up eating tomato sandwiches(talking about southern food). They went into detail about what goes on it which is nothing but bread, mayo, and a slice of tomato. From that point on for the rest of the show was like a culinary episode of the PF show. I've never had one myself only because I'm not a huge raw tomato fan. You made me think of it and laugh when you mentioned it. :)

Personally, unless it's a grilled cheese or pb&j then it's not a sandwich without meat on it.

Gotta have salt and pepper also. I don't care for tomatoes from the store, but man when its fresh out of the garden, its hard to beat. We finally got my 7 year old to try one the other day, cause she don't like maters, and she loved it!

I don't care for raw tomatos either. Now diced up and cooked in with certain food I love em.

Thankfully, my girlfriend is a Texan, so it was Short Ribs, Ribeye, Fajita Steak and Sausage for me. They love their smoking and grilling, that's for sure. Us East Tennesseans don't mind it a bit either!!
