The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

I don't know why Hornish doesn't see Juan Pablo being competitive in his return to IndyCar and not decide to do the same. It is so very obvious that the stock car experiment just hasn't worked out for Sam.

Poor guy.

As much as I hate Kyle part of me hopes he wins the championship to prove how stupid the Chase is and how stupid NASCAR was in granting him the waiver.

@DaleJr
@nascar should get rid of the "must enter in all races" to be eligible for the Chase. Keep the top 30 rule. Keep it simple.

Kyle Busch Chase Watch

Needs to average a 19th place finish the next 7 races.

I can't get the link to open on mobile, but I assume it's based on the average finish of the guys ahead of him. I added it up earlier and he needs to average finishing 9 spots ahead of the 3 drivers in front of him. They're all guys who usually run in the 30s so that would be about right. A couple of top 5 runs would just about seal it.

I pretty much feel the exact opposite. If Kyle wins the Championship this year while sitting out for almost half the season, I'll probably be done with NASCAR for a while until they make an effort to return at least some level of integrity to their championship. It's becoming laughable at this point.
