Wow...really? Someone posts a seemingly informed, fact filled observation...especially someone with d1's track record and people can't disagree without being a$$e$. Opinions on a message board are allowed. I never said anyone's opinion was or wasn't allowed. I just posted my opinion. Which was that I disagreed with his opinion.

I haven't posted on VN near as much the last year or two. What's happening with this place? I merely post a slight joke about a poster's opinion & get the replies of "you don't know jack about football", "you are butthurt", and "we can have opinions on a message board"? Since when did VN become such serious business to people? Haha. Maybe this is why I don't post as often.

It's pretty simple. You can either agree with Daniel Bituli being a solid player & UT commit or you can disagree. And posting your personal opinion of that on VN is fine. But when your opinion differs from the majority, don't be too surprised if someone calls you out on it.

Believe me, I know. I did something similar in a recent thread and it devolved into a 5 page carpet bombing.

IMO, I think it's the "hurry the **** up football" preseason jitters. Everyone is just on pins and needles waiting for the first season in which we should be good in quite some time.

I think it's worth taking a small chance on an undoubtedly talented player when he's the #1 guy in the state. Continues to set a precedent and it's hard to say you're locking down the state when you let the top guy go somewhere else.

Panning out and being busts are quite different when judging staff on talent evaluation. Same consequence for us but ultimately positive as it pertains to finding playmakers.
