Off topic, but you guys call us (Americans) yanks, right? Is that short for Yankee? And if so, why?

We southern folks call everyone above the mason Dixie line Yankees. Just curious if it's for the same reason.

Dunno probably has something to do with the Civil War. I just call most of you Americans or "those fat people" in appropriate situations.

Best smell as a kid was in the fall when the tobacco farmers had their crop in the barn smoking it. Loved that aroma. Rarely smell it anymore.
