This whole argument has been directed at someone who thinks it is part of our history and should on par with the country's flag. It's not about whether or not it's on a government building (even though there are a few southern civic building's that feature it), it's about the fact that some find the flag and its message to be okay.
It's not about attacking white culture (which Ob insinuated earlier). It's about doing away with ignorance, especially a beacon for like minded agents of ignorance to flock to.
