Paul's tax plan

Completely agree about the EIT.

Here lies the problem with revamping the tax code in America. Everyone is out for what benefits them personally.

Correct me if I am wrong. I take your postings in this thread the charitable donations, home mortgage, money put into retirement accounts to be deducted would benefit you, therefore those credits are okay to keep. At the same time the EIC does not benefit you, therefore it is bad.

I am 100% for a flat tax. I have posted that several times on VN. IMO, if the tax code has credits, it is not a flat tax.

I think a dollar amount , such as Paul's $50,000 , and we all pay the same tax percent on ALL income above that. NO deductions- NO loopholes

You literally just read his tax plan, and then complained that it was about taxes. I assure you, Paul would probably do more to cut spending than everyone else combined.

Taxes are too high and the country spends too much money .

Unless Paul cuts Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps, Medicaid, and Defense spending, his plan will have little effect on the Budget Deficit.

Wait, people aren't excited about replacing the entire IRS tax code with a flat tax? What happened to Republicans?

U just said keep it simple. Not sure how those deductions only are not keeping it simple.

This. End payroll withholding and everyone writes a check once a quarter or once a year.

How's he waffling? As far as I'm aware that's always been in his plan.

He is catering. He needs to grab his balls if he truly has any, most Senators could pass as a Eunuch, and propose a true flat tax.

He's leaving to many deductions and keeping the EIT in place. The fact he is keeping the EIT in place but never mentions the AMT makes me wonder.

He has one of the boldest plans of anyone out there, and you claim he doesn't have balls?

Wtf is wrong with you?

You know as well as I do this won't work. The number of people that wouldn't pay would be unreal.

Great. We could appease the liberals and do away with voter ID laws, just make everyone show up with prof of payment to be allowed to vote.

I'm beginning to wonder. If you think Paul is any different than the other major candidates you are fooling yourself.

Truthfully I have little faith in him.
