Funny "Cool Story Bro" about that. When I was in Germany, they had an expo for the different foreign cars one could purchase above and beyond the military car sales. So one guy was out there hawking the Smart Car and how ecologically friendly and gas efficient it was (which it is) and how it's entirely safe because "it's designed to just bounce off another vehicle in case of an accident."

"So what happens when it goes under the wheels of a semi truck?"

"Umm, err, it's light enough to bounce off another vehicle in an accident."

I would liken it to being inside a tin can and getting rolled down a hill myself.

Bounce? Lol

I just can't see those Smart cars passing a crash test. There's no way they're safe for the highway.

Think how fuel efficient we could be if we just made cars out of clouds powered with water vapor.

Sounds like fun. (Other than the lost beer). I have chased beer down while canoeing. When I lived in Collierville we would always go to the spring river in Arkansas to canoe. I loved it. Need to plan a trip.

Glad you got to spend some time with your son.

When I was stationed in Little Rock, my buds and I floated the Buffalo River. Most beautiful river I've ever seen, and the trout fishing was unbelievable.

That's the one I want to canoe. Then I believe the Illinois river. Runs from NWA in to Oklahoma.

He and two other trucks picked up loads. They were escorted to the Arizona California state line. They came up to a mountain side with a big steel door.

Their trucks were searched and they were told not to get out of their trucks or they would be shot.

They entered the facility through the big steel doors. Once inside a soldier climbed up on the steps of the truck. (Both sides) and guided them to the docking area. They backed up and the soldiers unhooked the trailers. They were then escorted to another area and were told to get out of their trucks. They were taken to a big room with beds and loads of food. Steaks burgers everything.

They ate and talked. Later the soldiers came in and told them they could go and to take any of the food they wanted because if not it would be trashed. My friend asked why not leave it for when they come back? The soldier responded " you won't be back, only one trip out here"
When they went to their trucks they had been detailed. Washed and cleaned. Inside and out.

He said he never knew what he hauled but never had to stop at a scale house. The load wasn't placard either.

He said that upon entering the facility all of them electrical stuff quit working.

I canoed it when I was in high school. We thought it was going to be just a 2 day canoe trip and my group had rented lake canoes from Fort Campbell's outdoor rec center. Turned out to be an annual canoe race. We led for the first 10 or so miles before we realized almost everyone else was in racing canoes and were much more serious about it then we were. When that hit us, we just stopped in the middle of the river and let everyone go by. We spent the next 2 days helping the officials rescue swamped canoes or dealing with other problems, which was a lot more fun. Lots of snakes if I remember correctly.
