Well this is....uncomfortable. I believe I will take a different Engle. There's no need to be Russian things during the slow period, but at the same time we don't want to be Stalin too long here. Tanks for understanding. Mao that I got that off my chest I hope you all have a good evening.

Mods, thank you for cleaning this up. Everyone involved with those puns, including me, is probably going to heil.

Y'all realize if football, basketball and baseball wasn't the dominant sports here in the US, we'd dominate in soccer. Would have multiple world cups by now...

Imagine if Canadians didn't have Hockey... They'd dominate... Ice skating? Sorry I don't know where I was going with that.

Completely agree. I had a discussiom on this with some friends and almost all agreed that if our best athletes grew up playing soccer we would be top 5 in the world in soccer

Imagine everyevery by NFL wide out defensive back and tailback with all their world class speed and agility trying out for 22 slots on the 2 deep for our world cup team. Plus the outfielders from mlI think we would dominate ....i

Some of the NBA guards as well... Rondo comes to mind.

Vernon Davis as a defender.

Soccer is a sport that if you don't pick it up at a young age than it's harder to excel at an older age. You won't find a soccer ball in very many neighborhoods after school or on the weekends. In other countries it's all they do...

USA would absolutely be a favorite year in year out if it wasn't the 4-5th most played sport.

You have to think about skills and coaching through and through. From youth to college to pros. If focus and money was solely on soccer, the MLS would be like the Premier League and not a place where Premier League players retire from to play in the MLS. And soccer players overseas make a ton of money, more than a lot in football and baseball. So athletes would want to pursue it. With the athletes in this country, we'd thrive in world play. But that'll never happen. We're only decent in men's soccer and have to get coaches from other countries to try and make us better. Just the way it is. The women's World Cup will be fun to watch this summer. Cause Alex Morgan is super hot...

I don't think the US would be as dominate as people think. It is cyclical for every country. Brazil has a massive population and similar demographics and Brazil hasn't won the last three tournaments. Before they won two of three tournaments from 94-2002, they hadn't won a World Cup in 24 years.

You can then take a country like Spain, with 45 million people and they may have had the most dominate run of any country in history from 2008-2012 winning to European championships and a WC.

The US Womens National Team is a good example of how hard it is to win those tournaments. The Womens team has the best players, the best athletes, the most dominant history and they have only won 2 of the 7 women's world cups.

I will respectfully disagree. I have seen prayers fix a lot of things that would amaze most people. God can do anything. And whether the young man plays for Tennessee or someone else I pray his knee comes back stronger than ever.

I was in pain from a football injury in my 20's. I had been told I would probably need a new hip and by 40 would have a hard time walking and stuff. Almost 50 now and have had no pain or replacement now about 25 years later after God healed my hip. Prayers works but sometimes the answer we do want we don't get. Have to accept it and move on.

The athletes that are built to play basketball or football are rarely built to play soccer.

I played through college and a little pro ball. The best players in the world are usually under 6' tall. Got to have a lower center of gravity.

Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Tevez. Ronaldo is an exception.

Honestly, I dont think Preston has gotten enough credit for coming mini term and doing his rehab.

I think this kid wants to be great and has also got him plenty of one on one time with CZA as many of the guys are away during miniterm.

He is goiing to be a star.

Bale, Costa, Ibra, Pogba, Cavani, etc. are 6'0 or above.

Cavani doesn't belong in the category of best players...he's good but been totally overshadowed by Ibra. Idk if Bale belongs there either, he's been so underwhelming at Real. Everyone else I can agree with. I forgot Aguero and Hazard also.
