I haven't looked at numbers but the way the game is evolving I am not sure that is an accurate statement from Pruitt. NFL teams are adopting more and more spread elements where the quick shifty WR is becoming a dangerous weapon. I don't know how tall they are but guys like Welker, Edleman, E. sanders, Ty Hilton, Antonio Brown don't look like Giants but are having plenty of success at the WR position.

Mecole just looks awesome at WR in clips that get shared

Some of the most electric WRs in the league are 6-0 tall or less. Brown and Hilton you mentioned. Odell Beckham, Brandin Cooks, and John Brown from last year's class made immediate impacts. Phillip Dorsett was a 1st rd pick just two weeks ago, and he actually had a rather pedestrian college career statistically speaking.

Sure, the NFL loves the 6-3, 6-4 guys that can go up amd get it, but the speed dynamic of the NFL is changing so much, that it has developed a definite niche for electric, undersized playmakers.

Elite play makers make it to the league… End of story. That is what we have here. Doesn't matter if they are 5'11" or 6'5"...the league will find them, and they will have a role.

OV, at one time, wasn't Georgia selling him on playing both ways?

Now your preaching facts.......what I'm talking about.

What I find disturbing about what Pruitt is saying to Mecole is the double talk and BS that he and the GA staff are spewing out of both sides of their mouths.

5* Terry Godwin is 6'0, 170 lbs, he is a whopping 1' inch taller than Mecole. UGA sold Godwin on playing WR for them even though he has the opportunity to play both ways with them. Apparently the size factor didn't deter UGA from telling Godwin whatever he wanted to hear and his lack of size isn't a problem, but Mecole's size at WR is?

I hope Mecole figures out the BS that Pruitt and the UGA staff are selling.

Yes both UT and UGA are selling both ways

Lol! So Pruitt and UGA are saying 5'11" WRs don't make it to the league in one breath, and then recruiting him to play both sides of the ball in the next breath? Hope he sees through there trash that they are pitching.

Mecole Hardman is the closest player i've seen that compares to Percy Harvin so far. He isn't as thick, but the explosion, acceleration and top speed Mecole displays are eerily similar. He needs to stay on offense, he is a game changer.

Also, the way he recovered from his ACL tear....6 months and he was back to full speed....freak athlete IYAM.

Mecole would be perfect in our offense. Running some jet sweeps, some wildcat with Dobb's lining up outside, and his YAC ability lining up in the slot.... His HS runs a very similar offense to ours. My goodness imagine a wildcat formation with Mecole and Kamara lol. Hey i can dream can't I?

thats mainly because of the "rule change" against pressing receivers past 5 yards. back in the day, you could be physical all the way down the field with these small receivers and they weren't able to use their speed. now because they get mostly free releases, the super quick small WRs are starting to dominate the league.

These are my exact thoughts on this kid. He was so fast on his film it made me laugh. So unfair for those other kids to be on the same field as him.

From a couple days ago.

"Tennessee and I are still tight. I've still got a great relationship with Coach Z (Zach Azzanni), Coach (Willie) Martinez, and Coach (Butch) Jones. It's great with them and even Coach Knight (quality control coach Larry Knight). We're going to continue that on through my process," Hardman said. "Tennessee is still right there at the top with Georgia, like I tell everybody. Hopefully I can go back there and visit them this summer. I've got a packed summer this year, but I'm going to make time to go up there and visit them. I want to go up for a couple of games."

Man it feels like if we beat Georgia this year it would swing a handful of recruits to committing to the good guys. I wish we could beat them by half a hundred.

Should be interesting to see who he hangs around during the camp weeks of Rivals 5 star and The Opening. If it's Eason or Guarantano should paint a clearer picture of where he's leaning

Mecole Hardman Jr. accepts invite to U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Quote: "I was talking to a lot of my friends, like Julian Rochester, Demetris Robertson and Jacob Eason," Hardman said. "All of them decided to come play in the Army game, so I just wanted to play along with my boys, and possibly future teammates.

Well that certainly doesn't sound good. For now anyways.

Commit to the D apparently.
