If the cops are working under cover the last thing they need is some goofy boob taking their picture. I realize they weren't under cover in the yard, but some of them may do it from time to time.

With that said..... Cop could have come over and discussed that with her and asked her not to do it and explain why.....then break her sh$t if she doesn't agree to stop

“It’s our responsibility to take care of each other,” Paez said. “It’s our constitutional right to film.”

I work in a medical field and have worked around many nurses and in a trauma unit.....it does not come close to comparing with what cops deal with on a daily basis.

They are arresting people they think have broken the law......this isn't judge Dredd where the scanner runs over their body and tells if they are innocent or not.

I don't think he was trying to say it's the same thing.

On a daily basis, most cops do not have any physical encounters, unless their fingertips brush someone else's when they hand them a ticket.

I don't have a problem with people filming the police but u don't interject yourself into the middle of a police action like the lady who got her phone broken.

i have serious issue with that

-get arrested (even though you might be innocent)
-get a bail (if you have money, thanks for the cash)
-don't have money, then just sit in jail for however long your court case takes to prove you are innocent
-you are innocent- oh sorry you had to sit in jail for two years while we figure this out

They deal with things a lot more than a nurse does.....speaking of the most angry people in the world.....nurses has got to be right up there.

The overwhelming majority is guilty....they make arrests based on the evidence they have available.....sometimes other evidence comes out that clears the person....its not an ideal justice system but I am not sure what is better at this time.

I am not saying the majority aren't. I am saying that we arrest people who are innocent, then have them spend 50k on a lawyer and say sorry.

You're straying from the point. Just because cops deal with more confrontations, doesn't mean they are allowed to play by a different set of rules. In fact, they have professional training so that they can keep situations like this from getting out of hand.

When they escalate a situation, "they deal with this more than you" is not an excuse. In fact, it means they should have the experience, training, and presence of mind to de-escalate.

But nope, he destroyed private property and you are looking for any reason to defend his terrible behavior.

let them pick a lawyer out, and state pick up the cost of whatever it may be.

Disagree. 90% is impossibly exact, but you haven't even called the cop in this instance a spade. The worst you said about him is that you "aren't defending him".

U think "Lawyers" are expensive now......just imagine how expensive they will be when the "state" pays whatever it is they charge.
