Seen that one. All those birds and their crews are amazing. I got to see the aftermath of one of their missions in Panama. A Ranger told me they were so relieved when that bird was flying cover.

I think the only other aircraft that makes infantry happier being overhead is the A-10

I thank God that I am not one of those who would be on the business end of either one of those birds.

I was on the range one day, not paying attention, when an A10 lit off that vulcan about 400 feet over my head.
I almost pissed my pants. I'm just thankful I heard it.

They're excellent, but not for REALLY close support.

The Air Medal is the top left ribbon, so it is the highest award of the six displayed. I'm Army, so I can't identify the other 5.

The one with Valor is a unit award. Outstanding Unit Award specifically.

"Back in my day", our unit awards were over the right pocket in the Army.

A friend of mines grandfather took a Nazi flag off some Germans in.WWII and he has it in his house. I'm trying to get him to send me a picture of it.
