The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Their schedule was a joke last yr and they were very lucky they were not 1-11. This yr their schedule is not easy. WKU and Houston are real teams with real players. MTSU is decent. Then they have UGA and Ole Miss in the first 4 weeks. They also draw A&M from the West who will probably score 40+ on them.

Vandy fans are so delusional that they'll always predict a winning record.

I saw one thread that had the timeline planned out for the next five years (this was prior to last season and it's glorious finish).

9-10 wins the 2014 year, playing for the SEC Championship in 2015, New Years Bowls from 2014 on and a potential run at the National Championship from 2016 on.

I'm sure it's lost to time over there, but it was hilarious to see how they had planned it out.

VandyMania will be a laugh riot when Vandy finished 1-11. The VandyManiacs will be calling for Mason to be fired if that psycho running VandyMania doesn't ban those who do.

Wow. They must have the ghost of Jim Jones running their water supply in Nashville..

They really think Bowling Green is going to scare us? Oklahoma will be the gauge of our season. I am not saying we win that we win out. But we win that and we look good we are easily 9-3, and mud stomping Vandy. We lose that and it could easily be 7-5, and we still mud stomp Vandy.

just read their coordinators thread. lmfao. if you have the best coordinators why is your coach fighting for his job?

also the thread on Mason's interview skills getting better. HA. "yeah, uhm, we gonna, uhm, be out there, uhm yeah, playing hard, uhm uhm in the SEC uhm west no uhm east."

God, what a year for Vanderbilt sports.

Did they HAVE to finish the season by choking against TENNESSEE... of all teams???

Things are the way they should be. Vandy is Tennessee's beeyotch once again.

I would probably feel the same if I was a Hilltopper fan. Most likely WKU will win this game. I doubt they pack the stadium though. I'm aware it's not that far away, but is there really that many die hard Hilltopper fans?

They'll travel very well for this game. It's 55 miles away and we have a great shot at a great seaaon. I was in B'ham last night for the C-USA tournament and we brought roughly 3k people down there. Bout 5 years ago when we played Vandy in Bridgestone WKU had 5-6k people, Vandy had less than 500.

The Nashville alumni group is somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-20k, so I won't be shocked if we have upwards of 15k fans there. I don't think the stadium will be packed either way but will not be shocked if WKU has a "home" crowd there.

WKU has a chance to have a great yr. Returning a ton of players and pretty much the entire offense that avg'd 44ppg. They have several guys who will get a shot at the next level. They also added a few transfers from UAB, one of which was a productive DT. They could very well beat Vandy. They had alot of new faces on defense last yr but they return almost all of their defense as well. Vandy is so garbage on offense i dont see how they can score with WKU.

By request, some gems from Vandymania (note there is a poster there with the name "DoresFreak," not to be confused with the real Freak).

Freak, losing it is one thing. Gift-wrapping the damn game and presenting it to the team on a silver platter is another. The 1st UT game has been discussed ad nauseum; in this one we were outscored 20-2 in the closing minutes. That's no ordinary loss, where you shrug your shoulders and say "well, I did my best". . That is a pathetic, epic, no excuses choke. Losses I can take; these abortions, not so much.

If the team wins tonight, you wouldn't even have bothered to show up to this board to add your sterling commentary. Same goes for your troll buddy, psyx.

Get your digs in while you can.

Welcome to Vandymania, Home of the Self-loathing Vandy Fan.

Choke choke choke

I am disappointed, dejected, pissed, and sick-to-my stomach that we cold lose to these scumbags twice in one year.

I hope the team shares my feelings.

Oh yeah, no doubts in my mind they will travel well. I just don't think the fan base is large enough to fill Vandys tiny stadium. The "home crowd" will probably be WKU fans. They will have more fans in the stadium than Vandy does. Go Hilltoppers!
