Why do I get the feeling that there isn't a lot of interest in the OC position?

1. Fulmer is considering calling his own plays

2. We lost a candidate to a mediocre Cal program

3. No news coverage of any exciting candidates who are interviewing or expressing interest

Has the program slipped into such oblivion that we're no longer on the short list for the most desirable candidates?

I'm not even sure that I agree with your original premise that we ever were "on the short list for the most desirable candidates."

I will throw my TV out the window if that happens.

i read the articles, but my point is, if it was a highly sought-after position, no amount of effort by the university could keep the reporters from creating a buzz.

So this is not law u cannot just make arguments without logic--I am not seeing the connection between OC position and media coverage. You have been off the mainland too long.

???? What the hell was that supposed to mean?

This is not an opening for a clerk at Wal-Mart. Fulmer calls u for an interview.

therein lies the problem. obviously fulmer makes the hiring decision, but he shouldn't have to beg anyone to apply (and it's looking more and more like that's the case).

i'm just saying unless there is a big surprise, who has stepped out and wanted the job...i hope it doesn't happen...but it would be his easiest way out.

I wouldn't be suprised if it happened. It would be typical Fulmer.

let me make this nice and simple. if people were interested, they'd be talking about it. to the media. to fulmer. to anyone who cared to listen. because showing your excitement about a position is half the battle in getting the job.

not if you're asked not to or have a reason not to talk (like you're still playing). There are plenty of reasons you just don't want to hear them
