Cal, Auburn, and Vols all in NIT?

That highly rated class was still rated lower than what CDT brought in.....Zo's recruiting was horrible and all over the place....it was obvious he had no clue what he was doing.

Actually it wasn't, but the fact that you're basically arguing which sucked worse is also comical.

If he looks like he is building us toward being great then I will be fine....if he looks like he struggles to get talent and the pieces aren't fitting then I will want him run out of town....u r asking me to predict something when I don't know all the variables.

It's freaking college basketball dude, if you can't make the NCAAT in 3 seasons then it's very unlikely you're building something great lol

Say we win 16 this season, you're talking progression so 18-19 next season, progression in year 3 means 21-23 wins which is NCAAT worthy. This isn't CFB where you've got 80+ scholarship players, you can turn a basketball program around in a season.

Are u sure thought 247 had it lower....u was talking like those were great players and most seem mediocre to me....wish we could have gotten cofer but remains to be seen if he will be a stud or not

It'll deoend on the service, 247 may be higher, but Cofer also had received a bump later on so that would've raised it had he stayed at Tennessee.

Cofer is putting up better numbers than any of our bigs, so I would say if you're banking on Owens, McGhee or Carmichael improving and becoming All-SEC types you would have to say Cofer likely is better than those guys.

Jordan Cornish is having an impressive debut season, ironic seeing as he was the guy you most blasted in the previous class. Playing good minutes for a frosh at 15mpg, averaging 5ppg while shooting 48% from deep and 85% from the stripe, shooting was his biggest knock by many on here.

Larry Austin is probably having the worst season of them all, which once again is ironic as he was the guy you often said you wanted the most. That could be that he on a quality team that has good guards, he may get his shot later on, but I would say it's very possible he's the starting PG at Tennessee.

CI Turman was the least heralded recruit and hasn't done too much at FAU.

So, long story short, I think Austin and Cofer are likely starters on this squad, and Cornish is probably ahead of both Mostella and Baulkman coming off the bench, so 3/4 guys would be playing quality minutes on this squad over current members IMO

I do wish we had Cofer over our bigs....I would lay money that Mostella ends up better than Cornish but I honestly don't think any of those guys are big time players though but time will tell....I'm cheering for Cornish to be amazing though.

I have stated it would probably mean he is not the guy but u are not taking into consideration that there may be variables there that may change people's opinions.....I don't care if it's CDT or Zo bc I want only what's beat for UT basketball....I hope it's CDT just like I hoped it was Zo.

And as I've said, best thing for Tenn BB is that CDT is the next Pearl, without the NCAA troubles.

2nd year classes is what that was meant to say, as he didn't like the previous comparison

Why don't we compare his third class while we are at it? And his fourth too.

I don't think Tyndall will be as lucky as Cuonzo was and have a 5* be ruled ineligible for his senior year and then fall into his lap midseason because he had an open scholarship while others didn't.

Florida and Arkansas had open scholarships and he could've easily waited one more semester and gone to Memphis, it's funny how those facts are omitted, but not surprising in the least.

I'm guessing that was a no though, you don't wanna compare their 2nd classes?

Too early to do that but the only thing better about that class was getting stokes in the middle of the yr.

Well Armani Moore was rated higher than Phillips or Schofield by 247, Reese & Edwards were almost identically rated to the 2 current signees...and then add in the 5* Stokes and theres really not much of a comparison at this point.

Stokes fell into our lap. Spin that all you want.

No he didn't

How didn't he? He got higher rated players. He also added a Five star mid year. And yes there were some highly rated guys Tyndall could have gotten this year, he just couldn't close on them. He closed one , Woodson, whom he couldn't get to buy in.

I'm not omitting facts. Stokes had a limited number of options. He fell into our laps.

I'll compare them when they are finished. Tyndall may have a five star fall into his lap.

Cuonzo signed a total of two top 100 players in four classes. Two.

Tyndall signed one in four weeks.
