I'm new to this site!

Who do YOU think should be the QB in 2008?

Coleman
Crompton
Stephens

UT needs a mobile QB...not a Pat White that can't throw, but one that can move in the pocket and has the ability to make plays with his feet!

BTW...the last mobile QB we had ( won a NC )

Welcome to the board and yes we do need a mobile quarterback. In my opinion its Cromptons job to lose.

Coleman is gonna give Crompton a run for his money.. But i have faith in whoever they put out there.

I want whoever wins the job to have it. Because there is some good competition...

I like the Jones idea as a change (call it the "smokey formation").

I'm a little scared of Crompton. I've heard Cut did'nt think much of Crompton. I'm not in Knoxville, but what do the Coaches think of Stephens?

He's big, Great arm and mobility!

It's one of those 3 since they are not recruiting a QB for 08

I have heard a lot from Kville and the word on the street is that Coleman is the man for the job and will probably take the job from Crompton

Crompton all the way!!!! This kid not only has the mechanics, big arm and leadersip skills, he also has a huge heart. He won't play scared.

We have to chose from these guys? Are you meaning to tell me we dont have any Cooter left in our tank?

i think Crompton can move around enough that when a play breaks down he can scramble for positive yardage, and maybe be like a Matt Flynn type when handling the ball. I don't know much about the other two other than what i've read on line or on this site, but i'd have to think that Crompton right now, given his time in the system, and our penchant for "you stay you play", Crompton will get every opportunity available to become the next starter.

i love off seasons where the qb has to be decided. they're so much fun.

run the option plays against LSU. That concerned me. Also, he seemed to lock in on Meachem and not even consider other options when he played against LSU last year.

His passes have seemed very fortuitous thus far and I am also concerned about his TD to Int ratio if he starts. I believe he will lose some games for us based on what little we've seen from him.

i don't think there's any doubt that he's much more athletic than ainge.

Stephens is the least mobile of the three.
