You have to have some kind of excuse for 8,000 Ukrainians getting surrounded by separatists don't you?! It has to be Russians, right?!

These people don't want to fight. Americans would be the same if they went in there....Vietnam 2.0! They don't give a **** about dying for politician's desires. It's pretty simple..

You best be glad I'm not in charge of the US. Me? Simple.

I'd go one step further on Nuland's Eff the EU comment and send in some serious aerial firepower.

At least a squadron of F-16CJs, maybe even two. And dare, repeat dare the rebels to light off a SAM or AAA tracking radar. And put them in HARM's way once they did.

And at least two squadrons of A-10s. Let the Hog loose on any rebel positions.

And AC-130s patrolling the borders lighting up any military traffic that crossed the border.

F-15Es hitting any military convoy within rebel controlled area.

And a couple of B-52s orbiting with some JDAMs in case any rebels were feeling frisky.

And my high cap of F-22s.

And then arm the Ukrainian Army with push brooms since very likely that's all they'd need in the aftermath. I'd make the air war of Desert Storm look like a kindergarten play.

And as a coup de grâce I'd call Putin on the direct line and in my best Samuel L. Jackson voice dare him, I'd double dog dare him to move even an inch across the border.

That's pretty much all they do - pick up the pieces.

Copy and/or steal Russian or US military designs, industry, tech, etc. Let the US military carve out oil/energy niches for their own companies in the Middle East.

I tell you one thing, if this world ever comes down to China v. USA, the Chinese better hope the defeat of the US is a matter of stealing blueprints.

A real Cossack would have never done such a thing. He would have made sure she was a Jew first.

You are right. They don't want to fight and this is why the Russians are there. Going back in time when this first started happening, you had guys like Strelkov and Borodai walking in thinking the whole place would start marching. Only the local drunks and criminals along with the gangs signed up to fight - mainly just to shoot guns and get revenge on neighbors. When a handful of the population signed up and began fighting amongst themselves and getting their rears handed to them Putin sent in Russians. This little revolution was all but crushed last year. Borodai began crying for help. Gubarev and others pitched their fits that this whole opportunity was going to waste and then the convoys began. Russian units from all over the country showed up in Rostov which was nothing but a staging area.

Like I said before, seeing the buses leaving Debaltseve last week.....over 30 buses were cram packed with people heading north into Ukraine proper. Dozens of empty buses went south to Donetsk. Debaltseve is in the heart of Donetsk province which is predominantly Russian. Seeing the locals head to Kyiv was a telling sign. Even Lord Haw Haw Graham Phillips scratched his bald head wondering why buses were empty at the bus station.
