With Ainge gone we'll be starting a new QB next season,It will be an open competition next spring since neither are seniors and let it be known who you'd rather have at QB next season for the Vols.

All jokes aside,

BJ Coleman or Jonathan Crompton

Note:Whoever you pick, put their name in your signature

Hopefully Im not the only one but I like BJ Coleman over Jonathan Crompton

Get ready to be absolutely pummeled by people assuming you are form Chattanooga.

And BTW, there are plenty of other threads on this subject matter.

I will say that I am pulling for BJ. But I want the best one to play. Without seeing these guys in practice and scrimmage, I can't say which one is better.

i still think Stephens has a shot. The kid has an absolute cannon.

It's no secret for those that like to read, I'm unsure about Crompton. I don't think he has "it". the moxy if you will. He can prove me wrong this spring and he deserves a chance to do so.

Then we'll be rotating 2 pocket passing QB's throughout the season almost similar to the 2004 season when we rotated Schaeffer,a mobile QB with Ainge,a pocket passer.

In the Spring. If we do that again it will probably be a lot more similar to 2005 than 2004.

Stephens is basically Rick Clausen Jr to me.

I think he'll only get in if either Coleman or Crompton gets injured, and the un-injured one begins to struggle.

Thats when I think Stephens gets a shot

Crompton definetly doesnt have that "It" to him
He had a chance to take Ainge's job last season when everyone was unsure about him and after had that 3 INT showing against Alabama and was trash against Florida that season we all were upset with his inconsistency

Crompton came in for Ainge in that LSU game and had a chance to win that game over LSU but he didnt our defense was to blame also for letting Jamarcus lead them down the field like that.
Then against Arkansas we got raped by McFadden and our offense couldnt do much of anything against that overrated Arkansas defense from 06'

how can you say one thing or the other about Stephens? It's obvious to watch Rick Clausen that he doesn't have all the tools of a great qb. Stephens on the other hand has lots of upside.

we're starting this already? geez
Yeah.

We'll be doing it all winter, spring, and summer.

We have nothing else better to do since the season is over but speculate on our future and talk about recruiting & our coaching changes:)

Dude, NS couldn't be further from anyone than RC. NS has a CANNON for an arm, RC threw like a girl.

Come on, if you want credibility, you have to know the players better than that.

lmao @ RC throwing like a girl:eek:lol:

sorry, someone show me some highlights of NS.

I've said my oppinion about him based solely on my impression I get from him being the third stringer and not highly touted out of high school. My impression is that he has a decent arm and isnt going to impress when hes on the field.
