Yeah. 8-4 is also the goal I'm setting for them

Without any firm numbers from NSD to calculate from, I'm thinking the numbers will likely show that UT out talents 9 or 10 teams. I'd say 8 wins should be base expectations, with the upper range about 11. I would also project the over/under to be 7.5.

This is all subject to change on NSD.

While UT has trended about 2 games below expectations in Jones's first two years (better than the 3-5 per year under performance dating back to Fulmer's last year), I think it is likely that many of those issues have been fixed and it is possible that we could begin to see his typical talent over-performance kick in.

*I reserve the right to modify these statements at any time.

I ain't conceding sh!t! We win 'em all baby!

I just hate penciling in losses.
Our defense is going to be very good.
Sacks , fumbles , and ints will be the order of the day.
Hurd has help . No drop off when he is taking a breather.
Wr's healthy.
Wolf .
Debord rights the ship for the oline (as QC lol).
Dobbs befuddles the opposing defense with his intellectual snap counts.
Tempo will finally be a factor.
Medley.
The best fans.

With a little luck ....

2 games below expectations? You thought we'd get 7 wins year one followed by 9 last year?

We have talent now, not a lot of experience. I think we go 7-5 this year. You just can't go from 6 wins to 9 or 10 in the following year with our schedule and playing in the SEC. I hope like He11 I'm wrong, and we do win at lest 8 games, but I don't expect it.

We have a lot of experience and we should have won 8 this yr. Florida game was brutal. we will be good next yr.

Roughly 55 of 85 scholarshiped players next year will be freshmen, redshirt freshmen, and sophomores. That's not experienced. And, in 2014, UT played the most freshmen in the country. Again, not experienced

Sheesh. Some unreasonable expectations being posted in this thread. UT exceeded expectations by going to and winning a bowl this year. I'm not sure there were many objective observers predicting that finish before the season started. CBJ is over performing, not under performing.

I haven't really seen unrealistic expectations. 8 to 9 wins is not a huge jump at all from where we are. That's with a bowl game

We have plenty of experience coming back.

Excuse time is running out.

My biggest concern remains the QB position. I believe Dobbs ill be able to correct some of his problems from the past such as being more accurate on his long throws and reducing turnovers. He should have an outstanding season baring injury. If he is injured, one of the true freshmen will have to step forward and play as if he was an upperclassman. The season could be worse than last year if Dobbs goes down. Hopefully, Dobbs ill not have to run the ball very much with are increase in quality running back and our injured WRs returning at full strength.

"Exceeded expectations?". Sorry, no. A bowl game was a must this year, a win was a plus, but to say Jones exceeded expectations by winning SIX regular season games is setting the bar to Vanderbilt standards.

And saying that Butch is over achieving on the field is worse.

There's no doubt he's dashing any and every expectation off the field but c'mon, he's hitting the mark on the field, not exceeding it.

It's time the Dooley mentality in the fanbase dies a painful death.

Yep Dobbs health will be the key to what record we have next year.

We were 2 reviewed plays from 7-5 year 1.

We were 6 points from 8-4 this year...after losing nearly every OL and DL starter.

We are not nearly as far from 8 or 9 wins as y'all are suggesting. I think 8-4 is a reasonable expectation for '15.

There is a lot of experience returning. UTs SO are not like most rosters of SO players as they saw a lot of reps as FR. No excuses.

UT just squeaked into a bowl game. IMO they met expectations. At least 8-9 wins in 2015 or they are obviously headed in the wrong direction.

De1 got a new gig? :)

...no. I'm fairly certain he's talking about the 2007 SEC championship game where Ainge threw the interception when we were at the 15 yard line down 14-21 in the fourth quarter.

It would make no sense for him to be referencing a meaningless interception in a game we won.

Ainge through so many critical picks it gets lost in the sauce. 2005 LSU game is when I officially knew that Ainge wasn't the guy and I told people that he is the type of quarterback that can set a program back 10 years...

That was 10 years ago.
