I find it funny how only two SEC fanbases are giving the Vols/Butch Jones any credit whatsoever for creating an excellent roster heading into 2015: South Carolina and Kentucky (two teams we have win streaks against).

Both generally agree that we may be the team to beat in the East next year. Every other fanbase refuses to give Butch any credit and assumes we'll be 7-5 from now on.

Man, college football is going to be really, REALLY fun when we start ending all of those embarrassing losing streaks.

My favorite is the UGA fans. Barely squeak by UT every year when we are down and then talk about us like we were trash. Makes no sense. They can't even dominate the east when everyone is down.

Recruiting is where it starts and it takes time. We will be fine.

Everything. Message boards (SEC Rant, team-specific boards), friends, Twitter, etc.

Obviously we have to start winning on the field, but Butch is about to have a massive talent advantage over every team in the East not named UGA (and it seems he's already a better coach than Richt).

I just think it's funny how people assume Tennessee is just finished as a program and will never be relevant again, despite the rapid increase in talent since Butch was hired.

Obviously we have to start winning on the field, but Butch is about to have a massive talent advantage over every team in the East not named UGA (and it seems he's already a better coach than Richt).

You know the game. Until we stomp their spirits and actually do it few will admit the Volnado building strength.

I just laugh when I hear that! Butch is about to awaken a sleeping giant in the SEC, much like Saban did at Bama!

Just wait until miss state is horrible again next yr. They had one great yr under mullen. Next yr reality will really hurt for those guys.

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I think our 2014 roster with another year to develop + KMac, Martin, Kamara, Phillips, Tuttle, and Williams in the rotation will be really, really good.

The only issue I see us running into is lack of experienced depth in late game situations, although guys like Barnett, O'Brien and Hurd hopefully won't have to play nearly as many snaps in 2015.

People are generally bad at doing anything but looking at the recent past and extrapolating that out to the future.

I think they see it happening. They see us beating them for players they want. UGA fans complain about Richt losing players to us. It us just they are in AFRAID to admit it. They think that if they do not acknowledge our progress then it really is not happening.

They will find out soon enough.

I am thinking 8-4 because I do not want to set unrealistic goals and then be let down by a young team. So if you could guarantee 9-3 I would take it. But I will say if things come together we could beat OU and set ourselves up for a really good year.
