how can you say that when he already has prototypical size for the position? 6'5" 320lbs. IMO he looks the part of an instant starter.
Allen is the guy who won't see the field as a freshmen considering he's only 280lbs. He's the guy who would need to take a redshirt year to get 20-30lbs in the weight room.
lol this smells of a signing day coup. Freeze won't be able to decide if Jones is dirty or just a badass recruiter. Next time they run into this predicament Freeze will actually convince the kid to "pursue other options" because he knows it's over when Butch Stones steps up to the plate.
Best movie of all time
Even if he decides to flip after his visit, he might not announce it. He was quoted saying that he was just going to fax his papers in on NSD. So this one could go right down to the wire and be one of our NSD surprises.
Even in light of GFW's posts, I've tried not to get my hopes up for Richmond but this does have the earmarks of an NSD flip. It looks like he just wants to avoid harassment from Ole Miss coaches and fans that he would have to endure if he flipped Sunday or Monday. Once it's a done deal though, there is no use in Ole Miss contacting him.
I think he has made up his mind what he is going to do and this weekend is about selling it to mom. If they do show up in Knox...Vol, imo.
Yeah, if we get him, sounds like he may go low-profile after this weekend and phone Ole Miss Wed. AM before faxing his paperwork to UT. I didn't feel we had a real chance until last night.
Do you guys remember when Ole Miss thumped us 34-3 and ran a late TD to arguably run the score up? After the game, Butch was asked if he was upset at Freeze.
Butch said "No, but we are going to put this one in our back pocket and it will be remembered."
Well, we don't play Ole Miss again for several years unless we meet them in the SECCG. So, stealing Richmond from them in the 11th hour sure would be nice payback.
If he calls Freeze before Wednesday to tell him he's planning on signing with Tennessee, then we can bet the house that information will leak like a colander. If he calls them on Wednesday morning, they'll feel left out to dry. I guess it is what it is though. He's in a precarious position.
