'15 MD OT Pat Allen

This is about the only chink I see in CBJ recruiting armor. It seems at UT he is having trouble recruiting top notch OL.

I see where you're coming from, but we've got some solid four star OL recruits coming in. Guys like Jones and Bouleware aren't exactly chop liver. OL recruits usually don't start year one, they take time to develop. That said, it wouldn't hurt for Butch to bring in two five star guys on the OL next season.

...Mahoney. This is a team that has the inside track to win the SEC E next year, and yet a wide open door to early playing time for OT's. IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS...for guys like Allen, Richmond and St. Louis.

I want more outstanding linemen too, but the talk about us not being able to recruit good linemen is overblown. I think this sentiment is caused by our line play this past year and our desperation to "fix" our weakest link by players in this class. Most of this is Dooley's fault as has been discussed ad nauseam. Rivals has Jones ranked as the #9 OT and Boulware as the #10 OG. On paper, few teams can boast of two top 10 OL in this year's class.

Now, let's go sign the #16 (St. Louis) and the #18 (Allen) OTs.

Very true! Also, in this system, we need a specific type of lineman far more than the most pro-ready lineman. Since many recruiting services seem to rank the big slow pro-ready road graders the highest, it's tough to recruit them by saying that we want them to lose weight and be able to run and move quickly. I think as more and more pro offenses start doing what Seattle, Philly, etc have done and move towards the college style game some rankings will change some meaning the guys we're after will be valued more by the NFL and will eventually be more highly rated guys. I think we're doing fine in this area, and the future is bright.

Two top 10 OL is technically an incorrect statement and a bit misleading, but I see where you're going...

Really hope we land this guy, but you know what, if we don't sign another OL this season, we have enough to score 10-14 pts. each game. That is enough to win 9-10 games with the defense we will have next year!:rock::rock::rock::rock::rock::rock:

Haha. Seriously if dobbs stays healthy and remains same or get better and all of our backs and recievers stay healthy and ball out like they are capable. We should be able to score lil bit

Purple Haze got a spell on ya :)

Hi guys! Why are we having such a hard time landing an OT? Seems like players would see the opportunity here- Do you guys think we still have a chance for Allen or St. Louis? GBO!!
Not really sure. But a few years ago we couldn't get good defensive lineman. Now we have the best in the country IMO.
