No, I've just been snooping around on Alabama's 247 site. Apparently, their mods think there's a very good chance that Richmond flips to them when he takes his OV on Jan 16th. Saban is supposedly pushing for him very hard.
I can't believe that Saban would want him. A lot of our experts on here think he's garbage

He has a lot of potential. I think he has shown he isn't the player some thought he was against legit competition as he struggled some. He can still be overrated and have great potential. As a player I would still take him in a heartbeat, if some of the other stuff surrounding him has any truth to it then I could see the staff moving on. As usual, the coaches would know and I'll trust their decision on whether they push for him or not. But yeah as a player I think he has a lot of potential.

I think Barton Simmons said a couple of weeks ago that Richmond needed to learn for a couple of years before he's ready to produce in the SEC. Still has a ton of potential, like you said.
Just for some perspective on how much his stock has dropped, Richmond was a 96 (borderline 5*) and the #1 player in TN back in the summer according to 247. I think he was also the #5 or #6 OT in the country at that time (top 100 player as well).
He was dropped to a 94 in the fall and was then the #3 player in TN iirc.
Now with the January update, he's a 92 (mid-tier 4*), the #21 OT overall, #9 player in TN and #210 overall.
Still a good prospect but no longer viewed by some as this can't miss left tackle.
Dude if your gonna get high at least pass it to your boy. I was on your side and reffering to the guy that quoted you.
Saban and Bama can give him a couple of years to develop into a very good OT prospect, due to their depth. Other teams, like ourselves, don't have that luxury.
At DR's position you don't have much choice. Just not a position where freshman come in and produce at a decent level. If they do have to play as freshmen, seems like it ends up being a baptism under fire where hopefully they survive and learn..
