Obama admin has done a good job managing the economic crisis of Bush

A little thing called personal pride. Yup, I know, one of the 7 deadly sins, but I can't help it. I love my job, and it pays pretty well. I just want to keep Obola's hands out of my wallet. You'll get to support me soon enough.

The point is simple: the poor don't have it made like you seem to think! The poor do struggle. Therefore they have plenty of incentive to try to do better.

They shouldn't be involved in either situation

I agree with the first, and I've never been a fan of our police the world strategy. But once again, it's a basic issues with capitalism. Not all jobs pay a wage on which you can support yourself. And in the wealthiest nation in the world, there's no reason we shouldn't be able to provide some form of assistance.

So the wealthiest nation in the world can afford to spend billions overthrowing dictators, but feeding a child is too much in your opinion?

no, that's not at all what I said. I said the government was not going to fix those problems and that has nothing to do with the private sector.

I am sure they do... up to a point. Many of them need a little harder push. Challenge them.

I saw a bum.. yes a BUM... in San Fran that was asking for money. But he had to hang up his cell phone and put out his cigarette to beg. Really? Of course that is in the socialist nirvana of San Francisco. Funny that in Pelosi's district, there was at one time the highest number of ObolaCare waivers issued in the entire country.

If you are of sound mind and body yet are still unable to support yourself then you're clearly an idiot or just don't care. If you decide to add a child into that lifestyle them you're a cruel idiot. It's not anyone else's responsibility to feed my children

I saw a guy parading as a homeless man on our local "begging spot" get into a nice vehicle and drive off. Now tell me how a homeless person has a taxi service?

and in the end that is all I want. The ability to take care of myself and my children without the gov't stealing from me and giving it to someone else. I should be able to donate to whatever charity I choose freely and without threat of jail.

There's a lot of idiots out there! I teach classes with up to 10 kids or more who have iqs of under 80! I've scene the documentation. There's a lot of idiots.

Should allow them to starve?

You make a lot of assumptions here. You assume that the tax money taken from the individual and transferred to the government is even going to make it to the child. That assumes that the gov't doesn't steal it for itself and gives it to the parent and that assumes that the parent doesn't spend it on 40 oz's and cigarettes and uses it on the child. All to often none of this pans out.

Buy em birth control..

That's one thing I've been very happy with is free birth control throuh obama care. Another one of the measures I like.

I also support the health department providing free condoms and birth control. And I can say I took full advantage of that when I was in school.

I said sound mind in the post you quoted however why should I be forced to provide what their own families won't? Charities used to take care of many in this country until the politicians realized they could buy votes using the same method.

Do you honestly think people will be dying in the streets from starvation without their govt cheese?

If the government officials are taking money, prosecute them. Food stamps can't be used to purchase alcohol or tobacco. But if they are selling their food stamps, and the child appears malnourished, take the child.

Yes. Not all of them will. But some of them don't have families to take care of them.

They buy food with the EBT cards and liquor/cigs with their cash. Are you really this naive?

That's a load of crap. There are plenty of options out there if people need temporary assistance without the govt stepping in. Difference is they aren't as easy to fool as the feds
