What is corporate welfare?
I'm man enough to admit that at one time I thought conservatives who were only concerned with guns and the bible were idiots. I've now realized that they are just as valuable to our country as anyone else. It's money that has ruined our country. You can continue to blame liberals until you die. It really doesn't matter, you represet our politics now days and that's pretty f'in sad. A bunch a midly intelligent people blaming other Americans for problems that none of us had a hand in. Cool dude.
Is that a serious question? Ask the bush family.
Corporate welfare - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That's not what I was saying at all. I was saying Bush wasn't even in office in 2000.
But you're still wrong. Both of these occurred during 2008.
How did you post that was 100% false get 5 likes? That's sad.
what the hell are you talking about? Obama signed a massive stimulus package in 2009 (shovel ready jobs, remember?) to the tune of over 1 trillion dollars once interest was factored in. Earlier that year he signed a massive omnibus spending bill that he claimed didn't contain a single pork project, yet it contained over 3000 earmarks for pet projects from both sides of the House.

President Obama to Sign Pork-Laden Omnibus Spending Bill - ABC News
You might be able to make the tenuous claim that the omnibus bill has origins in the Bush administration and therefore it is Bush's responsibility, but it was never laid on his desk.
Wouldn't it be more efficient for me to directly pay the additional price than for the government to pay it?
As I said I'm game. Cull all subsidies to corporations and individuals.
I can afford $8 a gallon or more for milk, meat prices double and most all food go up a minimum 25-30%.
I'll just move back home to the farm, cut the herd down about 50% and be happy as can be.
So you think big government prevents 8 dollar per gallon milk (which we both know is an outrage over estimate).
Is it cheaper for me to
A. Spend an extra dollar for a gallon of milk
Or
B. Spend an extra dollar in taxes of which 60% will probably go to pay someone idiot at the FDAs salary and only 40 cents will actually be applied to the milk price

$8 per gallon is a conservative estimate and yes federal pricing regulations and subsidies prevent this.
Here is an article on how milk is priced. Read it and you'll understand why I'm all for ending price supports. Many, many farms would fail but those that survive would be doing extremely well.
The US milk payment system...How do they control the moooovements?
The market, supply and demand, will set the price. There is zero logical reason we subsidize the huge corporations. If they cannot operate their business without taxpayer money they need to close their doors.
