You're splitting hairs. The entire point is that it's absurd to claim that obama has been spending unprecedented amounts of money. Because it's simply false.
he has added $8 Trillion in debt. $8 Trillion seems "unprecedented" to me
Why cant everyone understand this? 88 what is your answer to this? 8 trillion stinking dollars we will never ever pay off....trll me again barry hasnt buried this nation in debt? What in the hell are you even attempting to defend him for? Pointing to a budget deficit that is "projected" to decline in the face of all the debt he alone is responsible for is absolutely insane. Get a grip on reality.he has added $8 Trillion in debt. $8 Trillion seems "unprecedented" to me
I love how the numbers are played so much.
"Reagan TRIPLED the debt!" ($3 trillion in eight years)
"Obama only DOUBLED it!" ($8 trillion in six years)
How are some more proud to point out the fact that Obama only doubled the debt? Really? It only took Obama a year and a half to accomplish what Reagan did in eight. That right there's a fact to be proud of!
GV you are trolling big time
How much would that 1.86 trillion that Reagan added to the deficit back in the 1980's be in today's money?
Reagan added 1.86 trillion to the debt not 3 trillion as you stated. This was following Carter who added 299 billion to the debt
You left out that W . He added 5.86 trillion to our debt
O hasn't doubled it yet but at the rate we are going it will be by the time he is out of office. It will have to hit 21.2 trillion to double.
I'm not sure why you've been on this "I'm trolling" kick lately, but I'm merely pointing out a fact. Any time someone points out the debt rising like a Saturn V under Obama, the automatic reaction from the left is "oh yeah! Reagan tripled it!"
But either way, I do believe the numbers are adjusted for inflation. I might be wrong though.
National debt as of Sept 30th of years roughly corresponding with presidential terms:
The W years
2000 5,674,178,209,887.00
2008 10,024,724,896,912.00
4,350,546,687,025.00 77% increase
The Obama years
2008 10,024,724,896,912.00
2014 17,824,071,380,734.00
7,799,346,483,822.00 78% increase
The kicker is the Obama years are for 6 not 8. Debt is increasing at increasing rates of speed.
