Obama admin has done a good job managing the economic crisis of Bush

You're splitting hairs. The entire point is that it's absurd to claim that obama has been spending unprecedented amounts of money. Because it's simply false.

So numbers boy, what was the debt when he took office and what is it now? Take the difference and divide by 6. What is that number? Is that number larger or smaller than any previous president?

He's proven he's not very good at "practical" math.

he has added $8 Trillion in debt. $8 Trillion seems "unprecedented" to me

He will double the debt ($20 trillion) by the time he leaves office.

All of this unprecedented debt accumulated after raising taxes...I guess that is all part of the "pay your fair share" strategy that has "worked" so well.

It will probably be 11 Trillion by 1/20/2017.

Since 1/20/01 approx 13 trillion has been added to our debt.

Reagan trippled, W doubled, O will double our debt. 15 trillion of the 18 trillion of debt added during these 3 men's administrations.

It is.. but socialists can't fathom the immensity of that number because they will just steal more from "rich" people. Problem is that "rich" is becoming anybody that works.

Why cant everyone understand this? 88 what is your answer to this? 8 trillion stinking dollars we will never ever pay off....trll me again barry hasnt buried this nation in debt? What in the hell are you even attempting to defend him for? Pointing to a budget deficit that is "projected" to decline in the face of all the debt he alone is responsible for is absolutely insane. Get a grip on reality.

I love how the numbers are played so much.

"Reagan TRIPLED the debt!" ($3 trillion in eight years)

"Obama only DOUBLED it!" ($8 trillion in six years)

How are some more proud to point out the fact that Obama only doubled the debt? Really? It only took Obama a year and a half to accomplish what Reagan did in eight. That right there's a fact to be proud of!

GV you are trolling big time

How much would that 1.86 trillion that Reagan added to the deficit back in the 1980's be in today's money?
Reagan added 1.86 trillion to the debt not 3 trillion as you stated. This was following Carter who added 299 billion to the debt

You left out that W . He added 5.86 trillion to our debt

O hasn't doubled it yet but at the rate we are going it will be by the time he is out of office. It will have to hit 21.2 trillion to double.

I'm not sure why you've been on this "I'm trolling" kick lately, but I'm merely pointing out a fact. Any time someone points out the debt rising like a Saturn V under Obama, the automatic reaction from the left is "oh yeah! Reagan tripled it!"

But either way, I do believe the numbers are adjusted for inflation. I might be wrong though.

Yeah you are wrong.
The debt rose like crazy under all 3. That is a fact.

National debt as of Sept 30th of years roughly corresponding with presidential terms:

The W years
2000 5,674,178,209,887.00
2008 10,024,724,896,912.00

4,350,546,687,025.00 77% increase

The Obama years
2008 10,024,724,896,912.00
2014 17,824,071,380,734.00

7,799,346,483,822.00 78% increase

The kicker is the Obama years are for 6 not 8. Debt is increasing at increasing rates of speed.

You helped make my point the debt exploded under Reagan, W Bush and Obama. I look for it to be 21 Trillion by the time O leaves

Your numbers are off some the POTUS takes office Jan 20 . that is the date one should use.
Bush added a lot of debt from Sept to Jan 20. It was 10.6 the day he left office and O sworn in. That aside Obama will increase the debt as much as all the other presidents combined by the time he leaves office

I was not trying to start a big argument I was simply making the point that approx 15 trillion of our 18 trillion debt was during these three men's administration. 40 presidents accumulated approx 3 trillion in debt, 3 accumulated approx 15 trillion.
