Obama admin has done a good job managing the economic crisis of Bush

Reagan did not have people sniping at him 24/7. The economy was NOWHERE near as bad as the one Obama inherited.

And yet, if this recovery continues, it will be the greatest economic salvage in modern history. I know you hate to admit you were wrong. Sure looks like you were.

You are right. There wasn't much conservative talk radio in the 1980's. There was no internet in the 1980's.

If there had been, Reagan would have suffered more criticism, especially his action giving amnesty to illegal aliens.

I remember King Obama telling the American tax payers there were millions of "shovel-ready" jobs. It was a Lie. A big fat Lie.

And his budgets. And his raising of the debt ceiling.

The debt wasn't completely raised because of spending. (Defense)

Reagan increased the debt through tax cuts. Which in return boosted the economy.

Increase spending, lower taxes.....that's the worst financial plan I've ever heard.

It would be similiar to buying a new car, and then dropping down to part time.

Sparking a stagnant economy.

Look what carter left. Reagan fixed it.

That's like taking out a bunch of credit cards and claiming you've fixed your money problems. Taking on debt my help short term, but it has very negative long term consequences

Agreed. It has negative long term consequences

Reagan spent 2 trillion dollars in 8 years. Most of that was tax cuts. Not actually writing a check.

Obama has spent roughly 8 trillion in 6 years and his 2013 budget outlines 47 TRILLION over the next 10 years.

We don't have have the money.

Obamas budgets have never appeared that bad to me, and by most all accounts have shown a decrease in spending over the previous administration.

Even the deficit has decreased since 2009 when compared to GDP. And obviously obama had nothing to do with he 2009 budget.

The math doesn't show this. It has increased by 70% since him taking office.

Have you seen what our taxes are going to next year?

Reagan was "the great communicator" he was exactly what we needed at that time to bring the nation together and make us feel good and hopeful about the future. He gets an A+ for that.

He did spend a lot of money. What would that 2 trillion dollar increasebbe in today's money?
He lowered taxes, he would then raise taxes. Our national debt was tripled during the Reagan years. We went from from the worlds largest creditor to the worlds largest debtor.

He was not without scandal. I seriously believe if Ollie North had not taken the fall for Iran-Contra, Reagan would not have finished his term.

Outside of the end to the bush tax cuts, there are no new increases I'm aware of. I do know that my wife and I are trying to avoid that next income bracket (somewhere between 75-80k I think).

You might want to think about that some more. Don't avoid more money to save taxes unless there is > 100% tax (which there isn't). Might be different if you are planning on deferring income for some other planning reasons. If you and your wife cross over into the 25% bracket at $74,900 in 2015, its only the dollars above that line that taxed at 25%.

A fact that needs to be drilled inside of people's heads.

Although, I still don't see a family (or individual for that matter) that makes $75k per year having any of their income taxed at 25%. $75,000 isn't exactly "balling".
