He's looked difference since the Pats loss. It's hard being a punching bag week after week when you're 38, after four neck surgeries.

Bad game against the Rams...they'd rip off Fisher's left nut for Peyton.

and I agree with this.

But After watching him regress as a passer the last last few games, i just dont believe he's going to all of a sudden start progressing back to throwing laser strikes like he use to.

He didn't exactly throw lasers last year either and still set the Touchdown record.

We get it he's better than 90% of the QBS in the league.

My argument is he doesn't settle for mediocrity.

He made the statement before this season that he will retire if he can't play at the highest level of his ability. He said he doesn't want to be remembered as one of those guys that stayed around 2-3 years too long.

Peyton's close to 40 and people act like it's some great revelation that he's in the home stretch of his career. No ****, he doesn't have many seasons left but he's still better than most of the QBs in the league.

I think Peyton would rather go out on a high note than have everyone talking about how he's starting to slide. Just because he's good enough to play another year or two doesn't mean he will. Broncos have a tough path now.

He's not mediocre...that's my argument...I think there's a rush to judgement on here.

Yep. He's clearly not doing that and at his age recovery will become an increasing issue.

For the record, I've been saying I think he's hurt.

He was playing out of his mind at the beginning of the season.
