Proof The Government is Lying About Marijuana

You are republican. Not conservative.

There's a difference.

That is a copout stance by Republicans who disagree with other Republicans that are not as far right as some would like.

Can you name a Republican in Congress that did not campaign on conservative principles?

Also, it might be that if it isn't illegal anymore then a lot of kids might not want to do it then. Kids always want to do what society doesn't want them doing. Of course the end of prohibition didn't cause drinking of alcohol to drop.

Do you hear yourself? Making something legal would increase the likelyhood of kids trying is because they want to do what people tell them not to do? That's an argument for legalization!

And alcohol consumption increased during prohibition!

Well that's pretty stupid. Most people I know (who generally aren't religious) are also libertarians.

I have a bit of a feeling that you don't know a whole lot of non-Christians.

Ive been registered as a libertarian for awhile now and openly support Ron and Rand Paul. Yet I'm labeled a liberal on this forum every single day.
It's insane. As soon as you say something they disagree with "liberals, blah, blah, blah".

I disagree. Conservative values, ie- abortion are a strong value among the base. Republicans? Not so much.

As a Christian, I can not morally vote for any one that is pro-abortion. Regardless of party.

Yet it's annually the least relevant issue of all.

May be. Buts it's a value held by conservatives.

And yet all of the "conservatives" continually pass over the most conservative politician of the post WWII error.

The only thing I can figure out is that's he too intelligent for them. Makes them feel bad about themselves. They prefer someone they can relate to like Bachman.

Not I. I like Ron. Only thing about him I don't agree with is his foreign policy.

Pulling all our bases in from foreign countries. While I think we do have too many, I think there is something to be said for some strategic locations.

Bringing those troops home would have a massive impact on local economies.

I doubt that. Those troops would get early retirement.

Early retirement? Bring them home where they belong. It would be huge for local economies. Most military members are 30 or less. And that's a demographic that loves to live pay check to paycheck. And unlike everyone else their age, they actually have money to spend.

Great in theory. But not plausible.

In true conservatism, abortion is actually a pretty irrelevant issue. Just goes to show how far gone Republicans are from true conservatism.

You're a Republican. You just don't know it.

What should I have for lunch?

:good!:

Being conservative is not a prerequisite to being a Republican, I wouldn't call the majority of the Republican leadership conservative by a long shot.

The rank and file republican of today is the Democrat of the late 80's and 90's.

Precisely. Their two biggest issues are both based on whether a government should have a **** ton of power to ban something, or whether a government should have a **** ton of power to regulate something.
