has anybody heard that basilio said current and former players are now voming out and saying that butch is too hard on the players. Apparently he also said wharton and malone arent happy either. Easytd, have you heard this?

JMO but he is probably trying to change the mindset of these kids....i would say their is not one kid on that team at the end of the day CBJ would not be their for. On the field he is pushing them to their limits.

Kudos to Michigan for antying up and putting together a deal that is almost impossible to say no to. If he says yes and has them playing in multiple playoffs, Michigan won't regret paying him that amount.

Also, shout out to Volatil for helping a brotha out tonight. Being able to study all night is a lifesaver.

Haha. No problem

Butch was really bragging on Malone at his press conference too.

I think he did that to show the other younger guys that he's got their back if they're willing to meet him in the middle and give him everything they have.

Our fanbase will fall for anything we're so insecure after Kiff-Dooley. You think if Butch was so evil that wouldn't have leaked out last year? If you'll recall graduating seniors had no problems speaking out after the UK loss under Dooley and we had plenty of seniors leave last year. Hell, we had plenty of attrition happened last year. And guess what? Those players wrote some pretty awesome comments about their time here, thanked the program and the fans, even as they moved on.

Yet three transfers, rampant speculation that went from speculation to theories folks dug into because we knew ahead of time those transfers were likely and had nothing better to do in the off-period than to go nuts, and post-transfer handwringing by fans who are still nervous nellies opened the door for Basilio and others. In case y'all haven't noticed, whatever paranoid fantasy is stoked here on VN, especially in the FF, is what Basilio and his ilk feed back to them. He knows that's what many want to hear and runs with it. That's his niche - the man loves drama but he's hardly only.

CBJ hasn't changed a bit from last year to this year or at his earlier stops and yet this is the first we've heard of him being "too hard on players." It's BS pure and simple and w/Hendrix's comment not to believe everything you read it may well be the author decided to go with the theory on Helm not liking cussing/adjusting to big campus life and applied it to Hendrix accidentally -- these guys are on deadlines and they research poorly more often than not. It's probably the first time that writer had written anything on Hendrix.

The drama and silliness of what amounts to obvious bs/mountain out of molehill making is absurd.

Vols' Jalen Hurd arrested for underage drinking. Vols' Jalen Hurd arrested for underage drinking
B5GeUKSCIAAefIJ.jpg:large

Is this legit?

Happened on the 3rd and they are just now writing about it. Who cares? What a non story. I know some will act shocked that Jalen is just like every other student in college

Butch also goes out on the field to check on his players when they get hurt. I noticed one this year when Butch was in an officials ear and a player had gone down and was already being helped to the sideline and Butch still went out and walked back to the sideline and talking to the player on the way back. He cares.

If I remember correctly CBJ said in his initial team meeting when he was hired, "I'm going to push you hard everyday....... .but I'm going to love you to.". I think that's what he has shown so far.

Lane can start. Hurd comes in the second play. Who cares about a college kid drinking?

No one with any sense. I certainly don't and I hope you're right that the only thing we see is a 1st half suspension - at most - but you never know. Last time, underage consumption was handled in house and I hope that's what happens here.

Yeah, nothing is gonna come of it. I don't remember, did he have any other fumbles besides the one coming out of the endzone?

I don't remember him fumbling much. He can learn "ball security" from that Missouri defender tackling him.
