LOL, does it matter? They're a p5 team with the 2nd best pass defense in the country. That, compared with our bad offense and good defense, means it'll be a low scoring game.
It still isn't scary lol...I mean seriously, look at their schedule. Not exactly playing offensive juggernauts week in and week out. All but 2 of the teams on their schedule were 75th or worst in passing offense:
2014 FBS (I-A) College Football Team Statistics Leaders for Passing - ESPN
UNI: 88th Passing
Ball St: 80th
Iowa St: 49th
Pitt: 105th
Purdue: 103rd
Indiana: 122nd
Maryland: 75th
Northwestern: 79th
Minnesota: 124th
Illinois: 52nd
Wisconsin: 117th
Nebraska: 96th
It's strange how you pick one stat to complain about then shut your eyes when other people provide very valid rebuttals.
I keep seeing predictions for Iowa having 20+. If iowa scores 20 or more offensive and special teams points, I will send someone a $25 Amazon gift card.
Complain? Who's complaining? I said I don't think it'll be high scoring. Why you on a witch hunt?
Our pass offense isn't much better than the opponents they played. We had 92 passing yards vs Vandy.
And it was very windy, we were down a large majority of our receiving corps, and Crowder being out fouled up the interior of our line even more than it was already.
Ignoring all of that, it has been widely reported that they have serious problems stopping a read option offense. If we can get Dobbs and Hurd going which we should be able to do, we'll score points no matter how good their passing defense may be.
